Even as the economy continues to reel, Pres. Obama apparently intends to pushunder the guise of fiscal responsibilityhis plans for universal health care. It looks like he will be able to count on support from at least one of the broadcast networks . . .
Dr. Nancy Snyderman, NBCs Chief Medical Editor, has come out forcefully for universal health care. And she has made clear that rationing of end-of-life care to seniors should be part of the program.

NBC on Obama’s universal health care bandwagon ping to Today show list.
So this means we cut the illegals and turd worlders off — rights Barrky?
You will find a large number of academic, university doc’s in favor of Universal Health Care. Many don’t see patients anymore, they all draw a nice salary from some government entity. It’s the front line doc’s in the trenches of medicine that despise our march to serfdom. I’m glad I’m near the end of my career. If they get their way this is one ER doc that will not be found working weekends nights and holidays for Leviathan. I will be at the beach.
A high profile, high roller like her will always get the best. She isn’t going to be one of those Americans who have to wait two weeks for an appendectomy because the line of people wanting a free aspirin stretches three times around the block.
National Broadcasting Communists. We should cast that broad off the pier.
Absolutely correct!
Both my Father & Sister in Law are MDs. They said the very same thing.
I will sue anyone who rations healthcare to my family members.
I’m not buying any more GE products.
Do Freepers think Medicare should pay for $100K of medical care to extend the life of a terminally ill person by 2 months? I don’t. But if someone with $100K to spare wants to spend his own money on such care, that should be his right. People who want all possible medical care at the end of their life should save as much as possible during their lives, by spending less and retiring later.
The docs are usually opposed to government control of their employment. Imagine that.
I aam very worried about the future of the U.S., given that he’s done so many things in such a short period of time.
Universal health care? Try waiting with your toddler, who has an ear infection, in an emergency room for over ten hours on the day after Christmas, and oh, you can’t leave because you’ll get bumped off the list.
This happened to me with my now nine year-old daughter, because no clinics were open and you can’t make an appointment, etc. We got home at 10 p.m. Things only started to move after I confronted the receptionist (”Everyone’s on dinner break”).
And,oh yes... my doctor wants to see me for a physical, and there are some things I’m concerned about, but when I asked for an appointment about a month ago, I was told to call back in March, for an appointment at some point in July.
Trust me, you don’t want socialized health care. I can tolerate living here except for that.
Socialist LibTards! None of them have a plan for what happens when the last working stiff in the country finally succumbs to the KoolAid and NO BODY is working. They’ll butcher and roast the goose that laid the golden egg, and this grand experiment will fade into history as the world grinds to a screeching halt and crumbles into darkness and barbarism.
Time to take back the country...
Many never worked out in the real world either. They've been cloistered in their teaching hospitals all their carriers.
She moved from health care to children going hungry. Please Dr. Snyderman, show me the child who is going to bed hungry. Really. We have federal and state programs to insure that what you say does NOT happen. So, if it IS happening, why?
My plan: let people opt in to a national health care system - patients and doctors. The result: there will be few doctors opting in, and lots of patients. It will collapse quickly and in the meantime the good doctors will only have to deal with patients who have insurance or can pay their bills.
Alternate plan: Let patients opt in to a national health care system, but their doctors will be the ones who were admitted to med school under the various incarnations of affirmative action
