A New York Post cartoon that appears to link President Obama to a violent chimpanzee drew criticism Wednesday on media Web sites and from civil rights activist the Rev. Al Sharpton.
The cartoon in Wednesday's Post by Sean Delonas shows a dead chimp and two police officers, one with a smoking gun. The caption reads, They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.''
The cartoon refers to Travis the chimp, who was shot to death by police in Stamford, Conn. on Monday after it mauled a friend of its owner.
It links the chimp to Obama, who signed his administration's economic stimulus plan on Tuesday.
At its most benign, the cartoon suggests that the stimulus bill was so bad, monkeys may as well have written it,'' columnist Sam Stein wrote in the liberal-leaning Huffington Post. Most provocatively, it compares the president to a rabid chimp. Either way, the incorporation of violence and (on a darker level) race into politics is bound to be controversial.''

" They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill.''(Emphasis mine)
Note the wording: everyone knows Zero had NOTHING to do with writing the stimulus bill!
But as you say, this is just another opportunity to "play the race card," and Al Sharpton et al would NEVER pass up such a chance!
To do so would emperil his status as "Race Pimp."

Obama didn’t write it. Pelosi and here goons wrote it.

That is exactly what I posted over at HuffPo. The only racism regarding this cartoon is evident in their comments section from the people who automatically make a like between the chimp and Obama even though the cartoon is obviously poking fun at congress...

" ...the hell this lady went through watching her friends face getting ripped off... is not something a sane person would use to inspire a cartoon."So, what's your point?

Do any of the people complaining remember how Bush was compared to a chimp?
To: pissant
I just dont feel sorry for that stupid monkey. What happened to the chimp on the other hand was tragic for all involved.

So are we going to see a reprise of the Danish Mohammed cartoon fiasco, where Islamist nutcases were urged on by their imams to riot and murder in the name of their peaceful prophet?
Sharpton is obviously looking to get some media face time, and it's been a while since he was last seen barking into a megaphone to incite arson and murder. Wonder how many riots he will incite with this trumped-up incident as the pretext...
