Beginning of the End: Now what?
Examiner.com ^ | 2-18-09 | Phoenix Conservative

Posted on 02/17/2009 11:57:53 PM PST by Scott Martin

I've been trying to avoid coming to this conclusion ever since a nation chock full of economic illiterates elected him President, but Barack Obama confirmed my deepest fears on Tuesday:

“I don’t want to pretend that this marks the end of our economic problems...," said Obama. "Today does mark the beginning of the end.”

Now that Obama and I finally see eye-to-eye, where do we go from here?

Judah Freed, my colleague and Political Issues writer at Examiner.com, has concocted a three-part plan. You can read it in its entirety here: Obama signs stimulus bill... now comes the real work for Americans

Since I honestly have no idea what to do right now, other than stocking my home with enough adult beverages to allow me to wait out the next four years while curled up in the fetal position...

How can we ever know that law. Congress will be amending it once a week and twice on Sundays. We’ll never catch up with it. Civil disobedience to start with, when the government gets heavy handed against citizens, more extreme measures will be necessary.

We’re screwed, but not because of 0bama.

We’re screwed because Americans are fat, lazy, apathetic and barely conscious.

We’re screwed because Americans won’t fight.

They were far more upset at poor Mexicans coming across the border than they are about losing their freedom—just how does that work? I guess if you’re worried about poor Mexicans draining the welfare teat before you get to it, perhaps.

I am amazed at how little resistance Americans are giving to this blatant attack on our livelihoods and our children’s future.

Our children will live most of their productive lives working for the gover—oh, sorry, gotta go, American Idol Replay is on.

From the link cited by the author:

Those who would wish harm on others for the sake of gaining power for themselves, frankly, invalidate their right to hold power.

Classic projection..... Has not the Democratic Party wrecked the economy in order to gain power, and does it not seek to consolidate its power now through this farcical stimulus package?

Time for like minded citizens to get together, and in order to secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, secede from the Obama Union!

Is it a coincidence the Mayan calender ends in 2012?

That's almost right. The Democrats were only half of the good cop/bad cop team, the other half being the Republicans.

It's the Washington elite of both parties that did this to us, folks.

Nostradaumus apparently predicts 2012 as the end of the world just as do the Mayans. Myself, I think we’re merely at the end of the age of pisces and entering the age of aquarius.
“And he said to them, When you go into the town you will see a man coming to you with a vessel of water; go after him into the house into which he goes.”

Boy, you hit the nail on the head with this biting comment. Fortunately FReapers & conservatives in other media (or blogger) forums, are the most engaged when it comes to staying informed & aware of the issues.

Unfortunately the overwhelming masses of dumbed down, ignorant, idiot sheeple (including highly educated but socialist idiots, like my Phd boss, a flaming liberal retard) will blissfully accept anything that the demoRAT plantation politicians dole out to these ignoramuses.

I think if or when Am. Revolution II takes place, that 90% will sit on the sidelines, angry only because their favorite TV shows or shlopping down beers have been interrupted.

Actually the vast majority didn’t want independence from the English way back when. They just wanted to get along. It was a minority that acted and changed the world.

“We’re screwed because Americans are fat, lazy, apathetic and barely conscious.”

I was thinking:
we’re screwed because americans still don’t realize the USD has risen 100% since the elections.
we’re screwed because there was an extreme run in the Forex markets just a day ago.
we’re screwed because apparently somebody is trading euro’s for dollars
we’re screwed because the level of new investment in this country is on the brink of an unprecedented explosion
we’re screwed because Obama has caused the Nasdaq to lose over 2500 basis points in value since 2001 and never recovered.
we’re screwed that’s fer sure !

Now that Obama and I finally see eye-to-eye, where do we go from here?

I can echo the same thing. I will tell my lib retard Phd boss tomorrow that finally after 2 yrs of Obooombi on the campaign trail, then his messianic coronation on Jan 20 and now finally after 4 grueling weeks (with 3-4 day weekends off), that finally Obooombi has made a statement I fully agree with.

"This does not mark the end of our economic problems" said Obama, "Today does mark the beginning of the end".

BRAAAAHAHAHAHA!!! ROTFLMAO!!!

The irony of this bozo usurper in chief!!! What an idiot!!! I think Obooombi just pronounced the eulogy on his own frikkin porkulus bill!!! If America goes down the toilet but we get rid of Obooombi AND the socialist demoRATS in the process, I have to say I would accept the trade-off.

Please anyone help explain WTF is going on? It looks like this supposily Job Creation Bill is more of a Welfare and Spending Bill that gives a lot more incentive not to work or want to go back to work than it does in wanting to work so others do not have to. WTF is that all about and how does that create jobs (see examples below)? Insights are greatly appreciated.

** Hard Working Taxpayers (filing single) get an extra $400 for the next 12 months.

** Non-working (unemployed) get around an extra $21,360 over the next 12 months more than they would have before this Bill. Bill gives them an extra $25/wk and provides extra 33 weeks of payments in addition to the 26 weeks ($575 + $25 = $600 x 33 wks = $19,800) plus 65% of health care paid for ($200 X 0.65 = $130 x 12 wks = $1,560) for a total of $21,360.

Note 1: The above is a true example of a person in CT that was recently laid off and will get between $500 to $600/wk in unemployment and pays around $200/mth for health insurance. This does not take into consideration that part of this income will also be tax free (unlike for the taxpayers). This individual said they have no intention of going back to work before these benefits (freebies or handouts) run out. This is a very nice individual that will easily find a job once they are ready.

Note 2: This is not even mentioning food stamp recipients that were getting close to $600/month will get an extra $80/month in this Bill which is also much more than working taxpayers.

There are a lot more Americans furious and willing to fight than you can imagine.

They have the sense not to talk about it openly. The media wouldn't report the information anyway.
