Beheading in New York Appears to Be Honor Killing, Experts Say

The beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan has all the markings of an honor killing, psychologists and Islamic experts tell FOXNews.com, as the upstate New York woman's husband awaits a preliminary hearing on murder charges.
Muzzammil Hassan, 44, remains jailed after being charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, whose body was found Thursday at the office of Bridges TV, their television station in Orchard Park, near Buffalo.
Orchard Park Police Chief Andrew Benz said Hassan has not confessed to the crime, despite media reports to the contrary.
"He came in and said his wife was dead," said Benz, who declined to elaborate on the particulars of his conversation with the suspect.

If you live in the Buffalo area, your DA needs to have his switch board lit up...SECOND DEGREE MURDER??? Is a little Sharia Law slipping in? Mr. Hassan needs whatever the maximum NY law can dish him. No deals (no pun) cut either...
That's was my question too when I read it. I'd like to know their reasoning for that, and not First Degree.

As an American of Irish descent (no hyphen for me!!!) I am insulted by that remark. I feel an apology to the Irish and the Jews is in order. That dumba$$ statement is comparing an apple to a watermelon.

No, it isn’t NYC. It’s the peaceful town of Orchard Park in WNY. And this crime should be shouted from the rooftops there. But the media is all but silent. This is an unthinkable crime anywhere, but it’s been imported to one of our “safest” towns in the nation.
I believe that first degree murder is when it’s pre-meditated. This may be considered a crime of passion. I don’t honestly know how the penalty differs.

whew... and all this time i assumed it was cold blooded murder. It was just an honor killing. What a relief. Now back to our regularly scheduled program “ISLAM: The Religion of Peace”

......I’m sure these feminists have a perfectly logical excuse for “not commenting” when Moslems chop women’s heads off (TV executive in Buffalo, NY) and when Moslems shoot their 2 daughters to death in taxis (Yaser Abdel Said, Texas).
After listening to feminists holler for decades, I’d like an explanation why violence by Moslems is OK.
