A California man, who spent four days in a coma and was about to be disconnected from life support, is now on his way to making a full recovery.
Mike Connellys family had just given doctors permission to turn off the machines keeping him alive when his stepson noticed a tear slide down the side of his face, the North Coast Times reported.
Moments later, another family member was shouting that the 56-year-old was responding.
"He said Mike was responding," the stepson told the newspaper. "I didn't believe him, but I went back in there, and it was true. You would say his name, and he would turn his head toward you. It was a miracle."

When a Doctor, a professional Medical Doctor mind you, says that a patient cannot recover, that is the end of it.
At that point, you can pull the plug, stop medications, or even starve them to death if you wish. Once a Doctor says it is hopeless, you should just consider them dead.
Period.
Wait, am I channeling some people from about three Easters ago?
Jerry: So you’re saying his girl, his car, his clothes, it’s all up for grabs. You can just loot the coma victim.
Kramer: I give them twenty-four hours to get out of it. If they can’t get out of it by twenty-four hours, it’s a land rush.
LOL, first thing I thought of.
"Ohhhhh.. what are you doing? Were you pulling the plug on me?"

Of course, they will put Planned Personhood in charge of this new Department of Death, give them $ 1.7 trillion, and let them create a sort of vice-like affair that you put on the “vegetable” when you plan to pull the plug. It will immediately start a cranking device that smashes the head flat from the front to the back and shoves a large sock in their mouths so they cannot cry out if they happen to wake up during the “procedure”.

Low brain wave activity does not mean someone is brain dead. It could be they are an Obambi voter.
"When I finally heard the word 'hope,' that's the best word I ever heard," she said.
Hope is a great word to hear from your near dead husbands doctor.
but when you hear it from Obama you had better hold on to your wallet.
Don’t pull my PLUG, dude!!!

My dad was in a coma and I had to fight to get them to feed him! They kept telling me he would never come out of it, and he could live like that for 20 years and did I ****realllly**** want to start feeding him?
I walked into his room 10 days later and said “hi dad”. He looked at me and responded with a “Hi!” He lived another 2 great years.
Yeesh.
How many of these “miraculous” stories do we have to hear before we re-examine what the chances of coming out of a coma or other unconscious state really are?
Actually, that's very common. It's easy to remove a respirator in the first few days after a severe brain injury. If you wait, the patient usually begins breathing on their own. Once the patient can breathe unassisted, it gets complicated. If you really want them dead, you have to starve and dehydrate them, and the chances of someone defending the victim go way up. It's much easier to remove a respirator during those first few days when the patient is unresponsive and looks like they can't survive anyway.
Thanks for sharing that. Now I have to go tell Hubby why I’m smiling so big. God bless you.

Next, we’ll be hearing about 4 hour comas.
