COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - As the stimulus plan goes into effect, Sen. Lindsey Graham has some concerns and hopes he and the president can find some common ground.
Graham says things are still going to get worse. He supports spending for bridges, roads and infrastructure, but says with other spending measure the stimulus bill missed the mark.
"If we would have spent some of this money or half of this money on banking and housing, we'd a had a better result in my opinion," Graham said.
Graham highlighted his own bi-partisan spirit.
"I think I've had a reputation for reaching across that aisle, what we had here was an effort to pick off three Republicans and not meet the Republican party half way," Graham said.
He says he hopes things will be different in Washington when they tackle dealing with the mortgage crisis and stopping foreclosures.
"We've got another chance to do this, it's gonna take more money. I'm willing to spend that money for the common good, but I just ask to be met in the middle and be listened to, and I think the president will," Graham said.
%*%@!
Lindsey Graham is a full-fledged Socialist.
Someone from the state assembly forgot to twitter him.
GAG!
Someone tell this comrade to shut the heck up.
Eek. He sounds like a female version of Hillary.
Lindsey Graham is a RINO Socialist.
! ! !
Lindsey Graham hopes Obama won’t kiss and tell.
What is up with the Republicans tripping over themselves to kiss Obama’s butt?
sw
What a goober.
I think this is one area where we can agree on.
Worst voting mistake I ever made was casting a ballot for Flimsey Tinkerbelle in 2002.
Arrogant little lifelong bachelor twit.
Well gee whiz, the onliest reason McCain and butt buddy Linseed had their tailfeathers in a fluff over Obamas bill is because the democrats didn’t allow them to put their own scent on this bill.
That is the only damn reason they didn’t vote for it. We came out good that these two numbnuts didn’t win, and that ain’t sayin’ much. They would have done the same as Obama. Just jealousy.
Gag me.
"Run for your LIVES! They're here already! You're next!"
Once again, the issue isn’t what is right for America.
It is “bi-partisanship”, which means RINO dogs with wagging tails get the table scraps.
This bailout mentality will corkscrew us right into the ground as a country.
Now GM wants $ 16 billion and Chrysler wants $ 4 billion—for two companies that aren’t worth $ 3 billion between them.
Now, the RINO JAG-off thinks we will need more money. Great—we can use the Zimbabwe design to save on new printing plates.
The RINOS are not defending America—they are assisting in its destruction. It is becoming more apparent every day. Our masters in DC are not through with us.
I honestly believe we will need to form our own political party to preserve Conservative values. The GOP will not defend Conservatism because it does not serve them to do so.
The three traitors—Spector, Collins, and Snowe—will receive no consequences from their votes to give the Dems unbridled power.
We have lived through a watershed moment in American history last Friday and today.
We will be choosing sides in short order, and so will our politicians.
And I don’t think the GOP will be on our side.
