Oh, I get it!
GOVERNMENT “executives” can get bonuses when they are hemorrhaging n the red but BUSINESS executives can NOT have bonuses. May God help us!

It occurs to me that at some point in the very near future tarring and feathering a few of these morons will be completely justifiable in any Court of Law in the land.

All those bureacrats and congressmen rave on about excesses when they fly around and the CEOs have to take commercial jets.
Who is really the abuser?

Does your mail run on time, though?
If you’re not getting next-day delivery anywhere in the USA for first class postage, you’re getting robbed.

The EPA will probably file an environmental case against you . . . . if they can get their fingers to stop sticking to the keyboard.

If youre not getting next-day delivery anywhere in the USA for first class postage, youre getting robbed. It's kind of hard to promise next day delivery from say Boston to San Diego, or say Honolulu to Anchorage. NZ is a good deal smaller than the continental US.

Just the last grabs from the fat cats at the top of a dying industry. 99% of what you get by mail will be delivered by computer or private delivery services in ten years. For many of us, we're well over halfway there as it is.
When the last revenue stream for the USPS is junk mail, and they have to raise rates on that in order to pay union salaries and benefits, along with fat cat pay, they will squeeze the final life out of their business.

The Federal Government should have put out to bid postal services decades ago.
This shows part of the reason why.
There has only been one Postmaster General that turned a profit in America’s history.
John C Reagan...Postmaster General of the Confederate States of America.
How’s that for irony?

Based on performance, the pay of our Congressmorons should be cut to zero. Congressmorons should not get a lifetime pension based on one term in office; in fact, they should not get a federal pension at all.

Local postmasters get bonuses too, especially if they reduce the amount of money spent at their branch. This includes reducing the working hours of postal clerks. This past Christmas season, the office I go to was terribly understaffed and there were long lines out the door every day. The reason was that the postmaster there had cut the hours of much of the staff, thus guaranteeing her a nice bonus next time around.

We once had a postmistress here who instructed all of her delivery people to throw all junk mail into dumpsters, so she could cut back on expenses. Finally one carrier dropped a dime on her and she got “promoted” to a bigger office. All very hush-hush. Oh, and the guy who dropped the dime got fired.
Cute.
To: EggsAckley
That doesn’t surprise me one bit. They usually promote the least competent, and terminate those that actually do the work.
