This is my opinion only, but if Obama, McCain and the rest of the open border bunch cared anything about the citizens of Mexico, they would be pushing Mexico to give them the second amendment (among other freedoms!).

Instead, they will use the excuse of USA guns going to Mexico to do more damage to our 2nd amendment rights.

well, they come up here and drop off illegals and drugs and return with guns. Now it seems we both have a border issue, don’t we Calderon?

What stopped Al Capone’s gangs? Oh yeah, prohibition ended.

The Mexican drug cartels can get all the firearms they wish...without the assistance of the Del Norte.

“On the same day, Calderon met a group of US legislators whom he said were interested to speed up a multi-million-dollar aid package to combat the Mexican drug industry.”

Mexico’s high ranking ‘drug cartel fighters’ are taking payolla...much of it from US Taxpayers. IMO, every dime we send Mexico will only make the problem worse.

“The Mexican drug cartels can get all the firearms they wish...without the assistance of the Del Norte. “

You’re right about that. A few days ago we posted an article that Mexico is getting grenades from South Korea. Some of them have been found being used by cartels in the states.

Mexico has drug gang murders and, according to Aljazeera, it’s the Great Satan America’s fault. OK

So a bunch of Mexican thugs shoot each other and it’s OUR fault! Any excuse for condemning firearm ownership, eh!

According to Mexico, it’s all our fault too. They are not a society given to take any blame on themselves.

Dear Presidente, why don’t you ‘fess up that Mexico has been a corrupt, stinking hellhole for the last 500 years and that nothing has changed since your election? If you can’t control your own military and police, then the whole lot of you are corrupt. Clean up your own excrement before telling us what to do.

Very sincerely,

Felipe Calderon, the president of Mexico, has asked the US for "firm" measures against weapons trafficking, following the deaths of 15 people in drug violence in the country's border areas with the US since Sunday.

Blame the US. Okay, we'll put up a wall, and when Americans intercept these violent criminals, we won't toss them in jail.

The boys were shot and killed in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico's most violent city

I thought Phoenix was Mexico's most violent city.

An article today about some of those 'gentle immigrants'... Cops: Orlando-area rape suspects could have many more victims http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/crime/orl-rape1309feb13,0,1057832.story [snip] Unknowingly, Ortega's action led to the arrest of Hernndez-Monzalvo, her husband. The charges, which include kidnapping and raping a child younger than 13, are punishable by life in prison.

This crappola and the climate are the main reasons I wrote Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas off my list of potential places to retire. I might've reconsidered the climate, but who wants to simply go from one frying pan to another? 'Cause believe me, South Florida is right up there too! Same problems, different scum.

I'm a Conservative Christian living in Mexico and I enjoy the people, climate and the Christian Ministry opportunites. For your information, Mexico has only been a country since 1822. They were occupied by Spain and France before that. Yes, there is corruption in Mexico but there is just as much corruption in the USA, only you call it called pork barrel spending and taxes. The current stimulus package is all about political payback, so don't stand up too high on your high horse. Last summer there were 38 drug shootings in Detroit in one weekend. There are many brave Mexican mayors and governors who fight the cartels, but it is extra hard given the high drug demand of the USA. I pray for Mexico's success because if they don't win, we lose. I fear that someone like Hugo Chavez will come in and promise change like Hitler and Mussolini did on promises to fix the economies of Germany and Italy. Or better yet, someone like Obama who promises change and all we get is more socialism. Mexico is in a period of economic growth, about 5% per year, as they try to get their country into the 21st Century. A recent article in the Wall Street journal says that Mexico will be in the top 10 countries in the world within 30 years. They have the resourses and work force to do this if only they can clean up the Mexico City political parties. Your hatred for everything Mexican will not help America in the long run. It took Columbia 20 years to get rid of the drug cartels, so they moved their operations to Mexico. Maybe they can be pushed out of Mexico and then they will end up in Canada, where they will by controlled by the Muslim Mafia that is growing in Wisconsin, Michigan and Canada. Either way Drugs and alcohol will bring down America.

I have occasionally traveled throughout Mexico for the past 40 years and have studied more Mexican history than most Mexicans. I never said that I hated Mexico, but the fact remains that all the Latin American countries have been vexed with a peculiar world view inherited from the Spanish; it is a mindset very different from the one we inherited from the English.
