Can someone please explain to me why these states are doing this?
I really want to know, and while everyone is chatting about this, no-one is explaining the logic behind it, and what it really means.

“Finally it should be noted, that if South Carolina tried to make it on it’s own it would be bankrupt in about a year.”
The Federal Gooberment has already bankrupted the US. So what’s your point?

Do you know nothing about Gov. Mark Sanford? He has been the most vocal critic of the nonstimulus bill. Is he claiming personal sovereignty? Does he think he's governor or king?

Now these 22 states need to quit sending money to Washington and quit taking money from there.

As things stand right now it looks like Oklahoma, Washington, Hawaii, Missouri, Arizona, New Hampshire, Georgia, California, Michigan and Montana will all definitely consider sovereignty bills this year. They may be joined by Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Nevada, Maine and Pennsylvania where legislators have pledged to introduce similar bills.I'm glad that is happening, but how many will pass a sovereignty resolution? Until one of these resolutions is passed, this is all just talk.
