John McCain might be fan favorite during Phoenix Suns games, but Arizonas senior senator sure didnt receive a warm hometown welcome Sunday night in front a national crowd at US Airways Center.
McCain, whos held his seat in Arizona for 22 years, was greeted with a smattering of boos and hisses when introduced with wife, Cindy, during a break between the first and second quarter of the NBA All-Star game Sunday night.
His presidential opponent Barack Obama was greeted more cordially after a short speech that aired during halftime on the stadiums monitors and big screens.

Obama deserves the praise... he has basically saved us from certain economic and social despair!
Hell, I boo him when he pops onto my television....
When will this clown stop seeking attention?
Yeah I saw the All Star Game last night, was disgusted by having to see Obama begging people to volunteer, yeah like people are willingly gonna volunteer for anything LOL. I was very surprised to see McCain there, they interviewed him, he talked about basketball, yep heard the boos. Maybe he isn’t a lock for 2010 after all, but I doubt everyone in the stands were from Arizona, most travel from out of state to come to the game, but still, was funny to see him get booed. Hey Mac, I guess the fans are not your “friends”
I’m booing Juan right now. Alone in my office. I’ll boo him in an hour while driving home from work. Then at dinner I’ll boo him with my wife and kids. Before bed, I’ll boo him. You don’t have to be in a public place or with others to boo Juan. It’s easy and it’s the right thing to do!!
Hey, John.... STFU, go home, play with your hot wife, drink her beer, spend her money and leave us the f##k alone.... ya f'ing douche bag.
Produce should have been thrown too.
I seriously am hoping that “my better friend”, J.D. Hayworth, officially decides to run against Senator McCain.
Yeah I think he pretty much knows who the people were coming to see and it wasn’t him. I watched many of his and Sarah’s rallies online, and after Sarah would finish talking I would see people leave as soon as McCain started talking, they were there to see HER not HIM
Damn...the “dear leader” programs have started allready?
during halftime?

Yes it was disgusting, Chris Paul was in the center court talking about volunteering to help people in need and then they had a video message from Obama, then after wards Chris Paul said “Like President Obama just said, we all have to contribute” I was like damn, I watch sports to get away from political nonsense, not have it rammed down my throat
Did it look something like this?

Or the original...
Which is certainly all of the proof that mccain needs to run yet even farther to the left than he stood when he co-authored McCain/Kennedy.
Run johnny, run...
I'm betting most of the people in the arena weren't booing because McCain doesn't conform to conservative orthodoxy. Far from it. I'm sure they're booing because he's a Republican - let's not forget it.
If the great unwashed start booing John freakin' McCain, then the GOP definitely has problems in AZ.
DING DING DING DING!!! We have a winner, no more calls, please.
The Sheep hate the military, and I won't forget.
Yeah, this was a basketball crowd, and Obama is their man. The boos were more pro-Obama than anti-McCain, I’ll bet.
Problem for us is the indoktrination centers and sheeple-media is controlled by rats.
Yep the worst sports entertainment you could spend your dollars on. I imagine these crowds to be intellectually challenged. Stopped watching pro b'ball 10 years ago.
