"a single vote by state Sen. Dave Cox, R-Fair Oaks, could determine if the Legislature saves California from going over a financial cliff." ... we urge you to call Cox' senate office (916-651-4001) immediately. Urge him to seek a reasonable resolution of the budget crisis, and not shy away from making the tough, but necessary, choices.

The best and brightest Bee brains opined within hours of 9/11/2001 that it was (partly) our fault. You see, we don't try to "understand" the rest of the world. We've been mean.
Within a few weeks of 9/11/2001 the publisher of the Bee was out bashing President Bush and Attorney General Ashcroft while defending accused terrorists. The publisher, Ms Heaphy, was actually booed off the stage at a local university. The Bee employees promptly went to a writin' about how ignorant the audience was.
I don't want to touch a Bee or go near its web site.
If you can get a free copy, it works well as fish wrap, lining for bird cages and substrate for potty training puppies. Employed in that fashion, it is not a total waste of paper.
I called and urged him to be a hero. I told him to stand his ground and make the Democrats make the sacrifices.

Jim, does someone have a ping list so that a few thousand FReepers can call this number and encourage him to stand his ground?
I don’t know, but we can each ping our lists and ask others to ping theirs.
Thanks boss!
I don’t have a ping list, but I have an extensive e-mail list of folks in Cal. Using that.
Cox needs to hear from his own constituents.
If you live in the first Senate District - which includes Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, El Dorado, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Plumas, Sierra and parts of Nevada, Placer and Sacramento counties - we urge you to call Cox’ senate office
(916-651-4001) immediately.
Call me Cazy, but this household always spends less than income.
Oh, and we provide no funds to illegals - save what our taxes finance.
Wonder if our legislators personal financial statements reflect spending within their means (minus lobbyist perks)?!?
Pretty much everyone in Kaleefornia could live comfortably on just what the politicians get per diem!
Please freep this California (’pub) legislator and ask him to stand tall against the demorat and arnie crapola budget.
Phone mught be kinda busy. haha.
