Yes...the polls have turned...BUT NOBODY IS REPORTING THIS. At least nobody in the MSM.

Now they move on Talk Radio...then Fox...then the internet...

...what happens when there’s only the Obama media left?

>>Is it time to panic? No, my friends, it’s not time to panic, because nothing gets done in a panic. What we have to realize is this: the left, the Democrat Party, will not control the government forever. It just will not happen. They are going to overreach. They’re going to overreach pretty quickly.<<

One thing that slows this down is they have to over-reach enough to turn off a significant portion of those who voted for them... not just the rational folks who knew better.

This really should be attributed to Rush Limbaugh. You wouldn’t know 90 percent of it was an exceprt from Rush unless you clicked on the link in the article.

My post failed to provide the link to Rush and therefore does not properly give him credit for most of these remarks.

What we have to realize is this: the left, the Democrat Party, will not control the government forever. It just will not happen.

Like their forefathers in the Soviet Union, it might well last 70+ years. That's enough to see me long dead. I'd prefer something a little more optimistic.

I am not saying that this viewpoint is wrong but I am saying that it ignores some very significant realities. Governments and their bureaucracies follow the biological imperative to grow or die and its mainly the former rather than the latter. Very few professional politicians stay in office by reducing government, can anyone name me even one?

Every government spending program rapidly establishes a constituency and bureaucracy that will defend it. In my lifetime only one government agency has been abolished, the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) [1887-1995]. When I was born (1950), there were only 9 Presidential Cabinet Positions; State, Treasury, Attorney General, Defense, Interior, Commerce, Agriculture, Postmaster and Labor. There are now 15 Cabinet Departments WITHOUT Postmaster, an 88% increase. Spending the Trillion plus dollars will grow this government and make it stronger and more pervasive and INVASIVE. Anyone think that the next conservative government, even if it was the second coming of Reagan, will shrink any piece of the Federal Government?

Between now and the next elections, if there ever are any, a lot of damage can ensue.

The only upside as I see it is that there is so much pork in this bill that no self respecting Muslim will come anywhere near the USA for fear of Allah backlash! /snic

I emailed a couple of times to Bob Parks after reading many of his articles on CFP. He was running for a seat in MA. I thought and told him he was the answer to our First African American President and not Obama. When he writes he sees the underlying hypocrisy and racism in political speak. He defends based on what he feels is moral and does not demean them because of the the color of their skin. Each story he wrote seemed to see through the destruction Obama’s campaign was doing to African Americans. I felt the same way so yeah I like this guy.

I will be supporting him from another coast.

One of the stories on his website right now.

CEOs: Pay To Get Paid
February 15th, 2009
It’s becoming more and more evident that Washington, D.C. has become Chicago-East and all those legendary rules apply. You want to play, you gotta pay.

David Axelrod, senior adviser to President Obama, hinted in an interview on Fox News Sunday that the administration does not view the executive pay restrictions in the economic stimulus bill as binding.

Yet, another exception to Obama’s rules.

Obama will sign the restrictions, which are stricter those he announced less than two weeks ago, into law on Tuesday. But Axelrod said the administration will work with Congress to come up with “an appropriate approach” to curbing excessive pay packages on Wall Street.

Now while most of the CEO’s grilled recent on Capitol Hill gave large to the Obama campaign and Democrats in general, it obviously wasn’t enough. So, if Obama pulls out a bill, you pull out your checkbook.

That’s the Chicago way.
