Many of you have made comments on this site that illustrate your justified frustration about what America is turning into. Ive tried to be optimistic publicly and privately.
If you wont listen to me, heres the most optimistic (almost to the point of my being giddy) retort to your pessimism.
Is it time to panic? No, my friends, its not time to panic, because nothing gets done in a panic. What we have to realize is this: the left, the Democrat Party, will not control the government forever. It just will not happen. They are going to overreach. Theyre going to overreach pretty quickly.
Polling data already shows that, in a generic race for Congress, its tied Republican and Democrat. Only when you put the names in Nobody can believe this. Fifty-six percent of the American people now are in opposition to the stimulus in total or in part.
Hes just warming up .
Not one Republican from the House, not one Republican Senator is involved in the conference between the House and the Senate to come up with a bill that both support. Not one Republican in this new era of responsibility, not one Republican in this new era of bipartisanship. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have shut the Republicans out. This is from Mike Pence, congressman from Indiana.
So, let em go ahead with these tactics. We cant stop them anyway. We lost the election. But theyre going to lose down the road. They will not control government forever, and when our turn comes, we are going to turn the power of government against the left. We are going to investigate them. We are going to hold public hearings. We are going to humiliate them. Were going to nationalize their unions.

The media is the trojan horse.
IMHO there are three chords....
The public school system, including colleges and universities, Hollywood, and the music industry.
This is what the population has been deeply influenced by for the past 20 or so years. Couple this with the LACK of a solid foundation, and subservience to political correctness was a given. Reversing this travesty is a long process.
One of the clauses of that resolution states that the feds may not use the blackmail of withholding funds to compell compliance.
However, there is a counterstrike that can be fired, if the feds do this -
have all federal income tax withholding within the state go into the state’s coffers pending a release of federal funds for highways, etc.
“However, there is a counterstrike that can be fired, if the feds do this -

Why would there be any federal funding for highway etc provided to the State? What’s the Constitutional basis for any such thing you name?
If the Federal Government is limited to the scope of power specifically granted in the Constitution won’t the Federal funding provided to the States pretty much dry up?
Since the Federal Government wouldn’t need the funds to funnel back to the States, shouldn’t the Federal Income Tax go down or completly away?
If people in a State want the same Services they had been getting from the Feds, won’t the State have to provide them and won’t State taxes have to go up to pay for it?
I emailed a couple of times to Bob Parks after reading many of his articles on CFP. He was running for a seat in MA. I thought and told him he was the answer to our First African American President and not Obama. When he writes he sees the underlying hypocrisy and racism in political speak. He defends based on what he feels is moral and does not demean them because of the the color of their skin. Each story he wrote seemed to see through the destruction Obama’s campaign was doing to African Americans. I felt the same way so yeah I like this guy.
I will be supporting him from another coast.

CEOs: Pay To Get Paid
February 15th, 2009
It’s becoming more and more evident that Washington, D.C. has become Chicago-East and all those legendary rules apply. You want to play, you gotta pay.
David Axelrod, senior adviser to President Obama, hinted in an interview on Fox News Sunday that the administration does not view the executive pay restrictions in the economic stimulus bill as binding.
Yet, another exception to Obama’s rules.
Obama will sign the restrictions, which are stricter those he announced less than two weeks ago, into law on Tuesday. But Axelrod said the administration will work with Congress to come up with “an appropriate approach” to curbing excessive pay packages on Wall Street.
Now while most of the CEO’s grilled recent on Capitol Hill gave large to the Obama campaign and Democrats in general, it obviously wasn’t enough. So, if Obama pulls out a bill, you pull out your checkbook.
That’s the Chicago way.
Bump for Monday reading
Okay, I’ll read this later.
Whats the Constitutional basis for any such thing you name?
None, that's the point. It should be nullified. The whole reason for it is in point one - blackmail.
If the Federal Government is limited to the scope of power specifically granted in the Constitution wont the Federal funding provided to the States pretty much dry up?
As it should, yes.
Since the Federal Government wouldnt need the funds to funnel back to the States, shouldnt the Federal Income Tax go down or completly away?
Should, but we know it won't. 'rats will find a way to pay off their base and cronies with it. That's why the state should enact its own "withholding", to equal what the feds were taking and handing back with strings.
If people in a State want the same Services they had been getting from the Feds, wont the State have to provide them and wont State taxes have to go up to pay for it?
Yep. And that's the beauty of it. If you want a high tax, high service state - move there. If you want to be left alone and provide for yourself, move to another state.
I don't believe we have any points in contention between you and I... do you?
The discussion wasn't about what "is". It was about what would be if the Federal Government was held to Constitutional limits.
