The job market is lousy and it is barely a red state. We call Missoula, Moscow in the Rockies.
The last time I was in MT, I asked that question and got the following answer: "The best way to make a small fortune by moving to Montana is to bring a big one."
That said, I love it dearly and would move there happily if either a job opportunity arose or if, God forbid, Georgia crossed the line into tyranny.
