What Sarah Palin must do next
UK Telegraph ^ | Feb. 14, 2009 | Tim Shipman

It has been a busy month for Sarah Palin. The Alaska governor celebrated her 45th birthday last week and continued to feature in a raft of news stories despite what now seems a calculated effort on her part to minimise publicity.

According to Republicans I've been talking to, this is the best strategy for her if she is to establish herself as a serious contender for the party's presidential nomination in 2012.

At present she is a pop culture phenomenon, rather than the serious political force that her admirers thought she would become. But that can change.

Worthwhile piece. Too bad you can't get coherent discussions on Palin's future from our own media.

At the rate we're going, by the time she runs, the calls for her to burn an American flag or stomp on a crucifix by the leftist media will be a requirement for the office of President.

What Sarah Palin must do next...

Stop listening to political advisers and strategists. Take care of your family while they are still with you and govern your beautiful state according to principle. Leave the train wreck of DC alone, for now - there is enough worries for today at home.

What Sarah Palin needs to do is go back to being governor of Alaska and straighten out her family that she has neglected over the years. Ideally spend some time with her baby boy and her daughter who just had a baby. That should be enough ... . Sarah needs to understand that how she LIVES HER PERSONAL LIFE - and that INCLUDES who her FAMILY Is doing, is a DIRECT REFLECTION on the PARENTS. The Palin family needs to clean up it's ACT. We don't have Palin family ales and we don't want them either. We want a CONSERVATIVE that LIVES it!
Flame Away!

Many see Palin as a "religion".

she is doing the right thing by ignoring the lower 48 and concentrating on her job as governor. If she continues on the course she has taken, she will have an outstanding foundation from which to launch any future endeavors.

She should campaign against McCain when he’s running for life in 2010.

So St Paul was a direct reflection on his parents when

1. he persecuted Christians and

2. when he was evangelizing the rest of the world about Jesus and writing books of the Bible?

You dont make sense and yet you sit in judgement of others.

I thought it curious that she initially accepted the invite to CPAC, and then withdrew ‘because of back problems’.

Considering that CPAC is still weeks away, is the Gov. going to have surgery or some other long term treatment?

When the invite first made news, many, including Palin, seemed existed.

Then, she suddenly withdraw her name.

Hmmmmmm.

I like Sarah...a lot!

Speaks directly to the people and relates conservatism to her audience not unlike a former CA governor that became our greatest President of the 20th century.

That said, I fear ACORN, Rahmbo's 2010 census, illegals and commie-obommie's Chicago mob machine will eliminate any hope of honest elections forever.

That is far more insightful than most of what we get here. Palin’s doing just fine, she has exhibited more fight, courage, and backbone than anyone else in the GOP. Maybe that is why the majority of republicans say they want the party to be more like her and less like the spineless twits that we seem to have so many of.

I suggest kindly and most respectfully that you STFU. It’s bad enough you trolls go on about Slick Willard being a Conservative, but I think you can stop doing the dirty work for the media in attacking Gov. Palin.

She never confirmed she was going to CPAC. She was invited last year, but didn’t attend because CPAC falls during the 90 day Alaskan legislative session. I’ll bet her video taped address will generate more coverage and interest than the speeches given by people who are actually there.

I haven’t heard anything about a back problem.
