Stimulus Bill Will Lead to "Unmitigated Disaster."
YouTube ^ | Feb. 6, '09 | Peter Schiff

The stimulus bill violates every free market principle and, as in physics, every action creates an equal and opposite reaction. We've now created a Ponzi-scheme economy and our unmanageable debt will inevitably lead to hyper-inflation of the sort that has always destabilized the political and economic infrastructure of every nation that's experienced it. We're in for a prolonged period of "inflationary depression." The new socialist political strucure has developed a Soviet-style command economy of the sort that ultimately impoverishes both the people and the state.

Ive heard on the news that the sale of firearms is skyrocketing. I know that’s true here in FL where we have concealed right-to-carry laws. It’s said this is mostly from fear of Obama destroying the Second Amendment, which I don’t doubt he’ll try to do. In regard to real estate values in times of hyper-inflation, I’m no expert but I’ve heard they suffer like every other commodity; and the real value of gold is that it always maintains a solid value INTERNATIONALLY and isn’t subject to local economic fluctuations. In other words, you can “bank” on it in the worst of times, unlike anything else.

I suspect New Zealand is more socialistic now than what Obama could move the U.S. to during the next four years.

[it will be one hell of an election]

The election process has been destroyed and replaced with a Soviet style system, the next election is going to be redo of our last one.

It is going to take a rebellion to get our country back.

"hid the guns and bury the ammo! They’re coming".

They don't need our guns. They will possess everything else. The guns are for self-defense in case of racial war (if Obama really flames out badly) and economic unrest (see previous parentheses).

As Erma Bombeck used to say, “The Grass is Always Greener over the Septic Tank”.

Thanks for the reply. In hard times guns would, I imagine, also retain their value.

I just got back from visiting my sis and bro-in-law and we went shooting in Tamarack at a range. My bro-in-law is a major collector.

Namely, that there are still some gun rights there above all else. It has always been my belief that gun rights are the only thing keeping oppressors from taking over. Of course, you can still vote them in like we did, but we’ll see if our gun rights come into play against the oppression.

Beyond that, English is spoken there, which is a plus.

They are a formidable enemy but we alway have right and might on our side as well.

The greatest thing about the dems/socialists is that they have a very reliable penchant for self-destruction. They can't help themselves. The greed/incompetence takes over and they self-destruct every time. That's when we need to move in.

Secession is beginning to look like our only option. There are 18 months of the Demorat disaster left, and in a month the homo-Fascist Eclair has already succeeded in turning us into big Cuba.

Secession, my brothers and sisters. Let’s learn from our forefathers on this one.

Well, one thing is for certain. We will need a candidate who is full of vigor, actually thinks differently than his opposition on more topics, and is willing to play hardball. If we don’t get a person like this, you’re right. We won’t get anywhere AGAIN.

In regard to seccession, I previously mentioned the Kentucky Resolution. Let me give you a quote from the recent and widely acclaimed book by Jay Winik entitled, “April 1865.” “The next alarum came from two of the very Founding Fathers themselves: Jefferson and Madison. Their Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions of 1798-99 authored (secretly) only a decade after the adoption of the Constitution, held that states in the federal union could nullify acts of Congress. By arguing that nullification was a “rightful remedy” in state and federal disputes the two men thereby laid the political and conceptual foundations for national dissolution as well. The Resolutions were never tested, but they were a dangereous weapon indeed.
They unmistakably affirmed a basis for seccession - another remedy that Jefferson had also privately contemplated.”
