How can one man's meat so hugely another man's poison? It as if we are separate species...White House feeling invigorated by stimulus win...for those of us here it is the most dismal of tyrannical sledgehammers.

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Fresh off victory on President Obama's signature $787 billion economic recovery plan, several top White House aides say they're planning an ambitious agenda for the rest of February.

There's an enormity to what's happened so far," said one of the White House aides. "It's hard work, but it's worth it. We're sprinting."

Right, how can it be “hard work” when you have overwhelming majorities in both houses of Congress? The Dems can get whatever they want. The only hard work will be trying to avoid being held accountable for the consequences and the MSM will help in that regard.

The following week, the president will host what the White House is billing as a "fiscal responsibility" summit on February 23. The goal of the summit is to begin weighing the impact of massive federal programs like Social Security and Medicare just days before the president plans to unveil his first annual budget to Congressional leaders.

fiscal responsibility???? can he even say that with a straight face???? In the immortal words of Glenn Beck: "hold on a sec while I wrap my head with duct tape to keep it from exploding"

It’s hard work being Pelosi’s boy toy.

I almost hurled when I read that line. Talk about a lousy job. That would be almost as bad as being the town drunk of New York.

It’s as if people have forgotten that $850 BILLION “bailout” from just a few WEEKS AGO!!

Weeks people!!

It’s been weeks and Obama was given $350 BILLION by Bush to spend and he goes and pushes another $787 BILLION?

It’s just money.

"Bush can take some credit for these strategies in attempting to fix it. The housing bubble is a major issue. It was irresponsible to allow people to purchase homes they could not afford."

Didn't Bush try to have that community Redevelopment bill amended 3 times, but it was voted down each time?

He's already flown the family and a (white kid friend of the little o)off to camp David for a weekend.

“the Democrats have their finger prints all over this mess.”

It’s much “better” than that. Obama in ACORN sued CITIBANK (as I recall in 1995) because not making loans to people who could NOT afford them was “racism.” Then the Demorats in Congress arranged for the Government to “back” the idiotic loans and everybody said OK.

THEN the Demorats used the financial “collapse” that just “happened” right before the election to hammer the Republicans (with Bush and McCain just watching it happen (I know, they tried to get regulations to stop Freddie and Fannie but....)). Americans are dumb enough to think that since the Repubs had the Presidency that it was THEIR FAULT. Now Americans have put the lying thieves in power to “fix” the mess.

Americans ARE the biggest FOOLS in history. The “training” started with this story decades ago, if this could be pulled off, then the banking crises is child’s play by comparison.

nope - some have been led to believe by the msm that it WAS the budget, but the current bill is in addition to the budget - as will be 'stimulus 2' and 'stimulus 3', which is why so many of us are jumping up and down and foaming at the mouth over all these outrageous 'extras'. Watch for congress, who had a pre-election 9% approval rating, to vote themselves (another) payraise first thing out the gate. best regards, blu

Someone should tell this person what “enormity” means.

My solution: recruit a primary opponent against Specter and send him/her a lot of money. Soon. If we can peel Arlen away from the girls, they might chicken out, too.

"We're sprinting ..." ???

I think he meant: "we're printing. ..." as in we're printing money as fast as we can...

This is euphoric economic suicide.
