In recent weeks, in his pitches to Congress and the public on the need to pass the economic stimulus bill, Obama has made several claims about what it would do. (Republicans, too, have made stimulus boasts of their own.) But these pronouncements are not a sure thing:
Obama repeatedly said the plan "will save or create up to 4 million jobs." Obama downgraded that estimate to 3.5 million once the House and Senate agreed on a less-expensive compromise bill. The projections come from at least three economists, but all say there is great uncertainty in their estimates.
Republican House members claimed their substitute legislation tops that, creating "6.2 million jobs." But their calculation is even more fraught with uncertainty and is not backed up by independent economists.
Obama said the bill doesn't contain "a single earmark." But whether one calls them "earmarks" or not, the Senate certainly added items that will benefit particular states. For example: $50 million for programs under the California-Bay Delta Act and $500 million for National Institutes of Health facilities in Bethesda, Md.

Am I suppose to believe any thing that lying POS says?
He also “said” there would be transparency like no other, and no deals done “in a backroom in the middle of the night”, but his chief of staff was involved in a closed door conference in the middle of the literal night with Nancy Pelosi discussing this bill.
So I really don’t care to hear about what he “Said” because what he “said” is crap.
1. China
2. Saudi Arabia
3. Other Arab Nations
And I heard last night that the non tax paying Secretary of the Treasury has told China and the others that they will receive high interest rates for thier money.
Has anyone ever explained how to determine whether a job has been “saved”? I haven’t lost my job so I guess that means Obama saved it.
Idiots.
Obama and the left keep saying “will SAVE or create 3.5 or 4 million jobs”. How do prove that a job was “saved”. This is not measurable. LOL...the only way they can be proven wrong is if there are less than 3.5 million jobs left in America by the time all this “stimulus” is spent.

This crap about Obama saving or creating x number of jobs is pure BS. Job creation can be judged to a limited degree by how well the economy is growing. It can be seen in decreasing welfare rolls and fewer jobless claims as well as company records as to the number of employees paying payroll taxes. This number can be quantified.
There is zero way to prove or disprove ANY job saving. We can claim GWB saved thirty million jobs during his eight years as president, and nobody can dispute that. With no terrorist attacks and the Bush tax cuts, GWB saved those thirty million jobs.
My point is, there will be no way to dispute or verify any saving of jobs under Obama and the Democrats, and I am sick and tired of the media always using saved when predicting the Obama performance. When Obama fails to create the proposed numbers, I fully expect the media/press to add saved to the figures to justify their fawning over how well Obama is doing.
Would someone please tell me how you would tell if 4 million jobs are “saved”. This sounds like he’s just saying this as an out.....in case his plan fails.
Try this on for size; Obama lied, jobs died.
or
Obama lied, your wallet died
or
Obama lied, companies died.
we could have fun with this
hey, how come my wallet is empty?
And you can bet your bottom dollar that "disenfranchised businesses" (read that as minority-owned) will be the ones to get those contracts.
It’s time to get that “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Sarah” bumper sticker and T Shirt.
I’ll take one! No make that two!
