I'd like a copy of the 1K+ spending bill. I'd like to try to convert it to a text or Word document and do some keyword searches.

I checked last night and the version that I had (from ABC news) enabled key word searches in the pdf version. This is possible if they produced the file allowing indexing, which seems to be the case.

Instead of publishing the bill as a regular internet document -- which people can search by “key words” and otherwise, the Dems took hours to convert the final bill from the regular searchable format into “pdf” files, which can be read but not searched.
Three of the four .pdf files had no text embedded, just images of the text, which did not permit text searches of the bill. That move to conceal the bill’s provisions had not been remedied this morning at the time of publication of this article. (You can find the entire bill on the House Appropriations [http://appropriations.house.gov] website.)
But I'll save you some time and give you an executive summary:

Stretch Pelosi and Harry Reid are selling copies of it,
but they want $2000 for each copy, or $5000 for First Editions.(only 100 numbered and signed by ALL Democrats, plus the Three Stooge Rinos).
It is also possible to get it bound in a piece of your own hide, if so desired.(but costs even more)
