626 Words Per Minute: Little Time to Read 1,073-Page Stimulus Before Debate
Breitbart.tv ^ | February 13, 2009 | Republican Study Committee

Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.): Democrats made the bill available at 11 p.m. on Thursday night. At 9 a.m. Friday morning, the House begins debate on the bill. If members of Congress actually took the time to read the bill, they would have to read through the night at a rate of 626 words per minute before heading to the House floor. What are the odds of that happening?

At some point, Specter will look up, ala Alec Guinness, and say, “...what have I done?”

No, he won't. Like Dan Rather and the forged documents, these type people have such deep psychological damage, they never see when they do wrong.

The people who wrote it are not to be trusted — the pro-American Congressmen and women surely know this.

Vote it down for that reason alone!

They should put the whole Bill on the internet for two weeks so the people can read it and make up their own minds. The rush to pass this Bill is simply so the people can’t see what is in it. It’s a scam on the people.

There are probably only five or six people who really know what is in the bill. The devil truly is in the details.

Each Republican in the House and Senate needs to be assigned one specific section to read. Then, they can each speak about the particular piece of BS they find.

That, perhaps, could be done in 48 hours, assuming these reps actually care about it.

Arlen will feel the thump of the mortars momentarily knock him off his feet, get up, dust off his hat, then fall on the plunger. I can dream, can’t I ?

It’s all about intentions not specifics. Been like this for decades and decades.

Of course specifics get “modified” over time by building the same crap on top of the original intention, which means more spending.

Modern day European socialism hello, we have arrived with trumpets blasting by the press corps, cheers from the perverted trust fund aristocracy, and open hands raised on high by the dependent class.

Our congresscritters are being stampeded to pass a bill no one will ever read.

That is exactly what I've been thinking. I have also wondered if the Repubs have a group meeting of just them and discuss what are in the bills, etc.

Also, what if none of the Repubs showed up for the debate and vote, would that shut things down? If they boycotted it until they all had a chance to read it before a vote was allowed.

They need to post the rotten thing on the internet so Freepers and other Country loving Americans can tear into and see what is under the decaying leaves of this stinking mess.

If they haven't thought of this, then what good are they?

Of course, if they did read it, they'd be flapping their yaps to their constituents about how “they know more than we do” , never bothering to enlighten us.
