Per the crawl this morning on CNN, Sen. Corker has put a Hold on Porkuls, stating that he wants a chance to read it before voting. Bill has reportedly swollen from 800 to 1,500 pages as Dems keep putting-back everything the Senate removed.
Saw crawl as I was watching news about the ColganAir crash at 5:00AM.

Come on, Senator Corker! This is the first time I can remember this “moderate” senator of mine showing any sense or spine. He gave a pretty good speech against Porculus a few days ago. Maybe there is still a plan to kill this in the works............We’ll know soon.

1500 pages is probably just the summary version.

We can’t spoil the Messiah’s President’s Day signing, now can we? Oh yes we can.
I heard somewhere yesterday that he wanted to do the signing on prime time television. When are we going to be required to have his photo hanging in our home?

The heat’s obviously on, and Corker is buying time, both for the public and Specter, who may be having serious qualms about his vote in light of his rapidly diminishing prospects for re-election in 2010. Maybe if Specter is forced to mull the consequences of his treachery for a few more days, he may decide that backstabbing the Rats would be a better legacy choice right now than backstabbing his own party.

Does the Senate still do a cloture vote that requires 60 to move to final vote? If so, that’s our only chnace.

As you so correctly put it HOW NOVEL. Only I think this piece of pork is a Novel meaning, “a book”. I don’t think “War and Peace” was this long? I pray that more reps and senators get some sense and actually take the time to read this Novel, this piece of rotten fiction, and VOTE NO!

Yeah, but there are some obscure Senate rules that give individual Senators the ability to delay, if not entirely scuttle a vote.
Regardless, Specter just found out yesterday exactly how much trouble he is in with the Pennsylvania State GOP, and Corker may be buying enough time for him to stew about his future prospects in the 2010 primary.

When are we going to be required to have his photo hanging in our home? I saw some cheaply framed Obama photos in Walmart just the other day. They have a small tray at the bottom of the pic for placing several votive candles.

The "stimulus" bill is taking a back seat to the tragic plane crash that killed 50 people overnight.
The vote should definitely be postponed today.
