The co-founder of Meakem Becker Venture Capital could be considering a run for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter's seat in 2010. Glen Meakem says Specter's vote for the federal stimulus package has made him "determined" to support someone who is for Pennsylvania residents not Washington lobbyists. Meakem also says he hasn't decided if he himself is going to run but would support someone who was more conservative than the moderate Specter. Specter was one of three Republican senators who voted for the stimulus package and is the longest serving U.S. Senator in Pennsylvania history.
Whoever runs against Specter gets my contribution. I dont care if its this guy, or Carlos the Jackal ... !

Arlen Spector, IMHO, is not just a RINO but a traitor.
Can the Republicans strip him of his “committeships”?
The only thing about God and Spector is that God knows he is not Spector...on the other “spectrum” I think Spector believes he is God.

My serious concern about this is if there are too many opponents in just the Republican primary, then a lot of their time and money will have to be spent during the primary season, and this possible situation would also indirectly help the final Democratic candidate for this seat. The other problem with a busy Republican primary is if there are many conservatives to choose from as well as one or more RINOs, then it could increase the chances that a RINO wins on the Republican side instead of a true conservative winning on the Republican side! I’ve lost track of how many Republican primary races really ended up going to a RINO instead of going to a true conservative on the Republican side, at any political level. FIND ONE CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE, AND THEN, AS A CONSERVATIVE VOTING MAJORITY, STAY JUST WITH THIS ONE CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO THE END OF THE GENERAL ELECTION!
Are we not a tad tried of dim-0-crats and RINOs - and political machines which pre-select/appoint those for their blessing?
It is about time the RINO specter was thrown out of office.
