WHEN YOUTUBE VIDEOS BACKFIRE (Eric Cantor sends profanity laced link to reporter)

Politico was writing a story about a new TV ad that Dem-leaning groups -- including the union AFSCME -- had taken out attacking Eric Cantor, the No. 2 House Republican.

In response, Cantor spokesman Brad Dayspring e-mailed the reporter an old, grainy video -- laden with Soprano-esque language and profanity -- about AFSCME. Here's the video (and we also warn that it contains very foul language).

Saw this on The Morning Joe this morning.

They had to bleep a major part of the video. Not sure what Cantor's aide was thinking when he emailed this to a reporter.

Be warned, if you click the link for the video, it's uncensored, and profanity laced.

That’s okay. Just think of the profanity by all Americans when they get the bill for bailouts and stimulus.

Is it any worse than the Grammy winning audio book read by our President?

I don't see anything to get all out of joint about. It's not like the congressman went out and had a horrible video made and sent it out to the union---it's a very old video---and I'm betting it was originally made by some union folks who thought it was funny.

That's just my guess, of course. However, not much else would make sense. We need to know where the video originated.

Your title implies that Cantor is using profanity.

it's plausible that it went down like Brad Dayspring said, but thinking anyone in the DBM would not run with it is just plain dumb.

That video is great. Even funnier are the comments at the link. It seems democrats don’t like this kind of stuff at all. Fuggem den.

I'm fairly certain the video (images only) is a genuine AFSCME television spot from the 1970's. The soundtrack has been replaced, though. Not really sure who the "parody" voiceover is or when it was done.
