So are they saying that the dems have reached a deal with the dems? Most Democrats demanded more spending, and the rest agreed. Done deal.

You need to put republican moderates in quotes: “republican moderates”. They are not republicans or moderates.

Collins was REelected; she already held the Senate seat.
As for her bucking Senate leadership, you mean Republican Minority Senate leadership, which isn’t the same thing as if you were a Democrat and bucked Reid or Pelosi, for instance.
Nothing bad will happen to her unless it happens back in her home state, would be my guess.

We can only hope that when the House gets their leftist claws on this, they will furiously pile more pork on it (it’s just what they do) and kill the deal. Let’s hope.

The conference negotiations were today.
It’s a done deal.
Now the vote.

Bastids can't “reach agreement” on the Defense budget in 6 months or so. In mere weeks they manage to “reach agreement” on pissing away $800 Billion.

I wont believe it until a Republican (non-Rhino) comes forward and says so. They are not a factor. Only the three RINOs are going to vote for the POS anyway, and they only need two of them. The "deal" was between the House and Senate negotiators, the 'Rat ones that is.

No it is not. I consider ANYONE that calls himself a dimocrat to be an enemy, my enemy. I have family members who voted for these puking Marxists and I refuse to have anything to do with them. I love MY COUNTRY. I want these pukes too leave my country alone. I love the freedom, liberty and Constitution. They apparently do not when they vote for dimocrats. They know why I feel the way I do about them and I tell them to stay away from me. I simply do not associate with liberals, dimocrats, communists or socialists. They ARE MY ENEMIES. Simple as that.

That is the Dems worst fear right now; that only 3 Dems are coming forward! They know it isn’t cover for them if this does not work out.
That is why Barbara Boxer came out yesterday and said “DON’T LET ANYONE TELL YOU THIS IS NOT A BIPARTISAN BILL”. She and Reid know that it is not no matter how often they keep saying it is.

So when does the on the floor vote happen? The House wants to vote tomorrow, as does the Senate.
From Fox News It was not immediately clear when final votes in the two houses would occur. A House vote was possible as early as Thursday, with the Senate to follow before lawmakers begin a scheduled weeklong vacation.
They've earned their bribes, now it's Party Time! Whorehouses and bath houses all booked up for next week.

And the way that the Dems are acting/performing it is going to make most of the Republican Reps and Senators so mad there is no way they would even consider changing their votes.
To: pollywog
The next election for each of them is as follows: Collins 2014 Snowe 2012 Specter 2010 If you really want to get sick, read this from Specter's website:
Leahy, Specter, Feingold, Kennedy Introduce State Secrets Legislation
Arlen will be 79 years old tomorrow. Good chance he won't be running again.
But such a nice birthday present he's gotten. NOT!

Does anyone recall when Reid marched out to the microphones in the Capitol Building and announced he had killed the Patriot Act a few years back? Not. It aint over ‘til the fat lady sings.
And even if it is enacted into law the dang thing will collapse on itself, because it does nothing to stimulate anything but socialism. Even some of the brain dead dem minions are beginning to catch on.
And there are the stupid demrats putting on a show of making financial and lending house CEOs explain what they did with the TARP money today? Anyone watching this farce would have to ask themselves why give more tax payer money to ideologues and thieves like these bums. The demrats would have been better off leaving that rock unturned until after the so-called stimulus package vote.
There doesn’t seem to be coordinated game plan between the WH and Congressional demrats.

The wall will have pictures on it of Harry, Nancy, Arlen, Barney; all of the greatsI assume that there will be water running down the wall, and at the bottom , there will be a trough to collect the "offerings"?
Be awfully unsanitary otherwise.

If she's that new and bucked Senate leadership, she's in deep doo doo anyway She was reelected. This is her third term. IOW, she's already been there 12 years, and will be there another 6, AT LEAST ... in the normal course of affairs.

I was in Lithuania when Specter & his wife came through on a junket a few years ago. He was the laughing stock of the whole country when his perk list was leaked. It was a laundry list of things to be available for him and reminded me of a rock star who requests green M & M’s. The guy is as vain as a peacock and it is showing in this fiasco.

Of course there is. White House operatives sat in on the conference committe negotiations. How do you think got it done so fast. Those big egos on the Hill need either stroking, or “offers they can't refuse”. I suspect they got some of each in the last 24-48 hours.
