Today in the local rag, Tom Carper and the seatwarmer Kaufmann took to task a woman who DARED to question the provisions. Over and over they repeated: “This is good for you”, “There’s no such provision”, etc.

I can only suffer reading the Urinal every couple of days, so I missed this as I didn't go there today.....however, it doesn't surprise me.

They don’t listen to us when he express our views; they don’t care where or when the money is coming from; and they sure as Hades, don’t represent US

Crapper has NEVER represented anyone but himself and his puppet masters.

May they suffer at the hands of a dull guillotine.

You are far too kind.

My husband enjoys reminding me it is my fault that Plugs Biden is VP because I insisted he step on the brake, not the gas, pedal one afternoon when Biden stepped out between two parked cars right into the path of our vehicle.

I have been an AMA member since 1973. They took an enormous left turn some time ago. Instead of fighting the trolls, the AMA capitulates. I THINK membership is declining.

In one fell swoop, Obambi gets it all if this boondoogle passes.
1.Medicaid/medicare is denied to those who have over years payed taxes, to have medical care in declining years. Means testing will go to the fore, oddly I know at least 20 people, who under new rules would have died under new rules. ie been denied medical care as too expensive.
2.Obambi gets to return social security to money making enterprise, because no one will live long enough to collect their due, due to above constraint.
3. Ruin the best medical service ever devised, except for the chosen few. Those in power.
AMA is least of problem, those who voted for the chosen one, will be the most screwed under new rules.

Go figure

Who could see this coming, mostly freepers, but no one is listening.
Or if they are, those who want something for nothing outweigh those who wnat

Are they stupid? cutting their own throats

They've been doing it for years. The moment they laid down with Big Pharma all objectivity was lost.

The throat was cut with the acceptance of MEDICARE. That was the beginning. We may see the end with universal .gov care.

The AMA wants this. It will make it easy for them to expand their scare-mongering program.

Is anyone really surprised that the AMA is doing exactly as they are in cheerleading for the electronic medical records and health care bureaucracy provisions in the Porkulus bill?

Contrary to popular belief, the AMA does not represent the large majority of private practitioners of medicine these days, and hasn't done so for at least two decades. They would prefer to enhance their lucrative role as partners with Big Brother as medicine moves toward complete socialization in the US.

The AMA has actually been in a lucrative contract with the federal government for many years: it has a monopoly on a coding system for medical procedures which is mandated for all electronic billing from doctor's offices. Thus, the more electronic billing required, the more revenues AMA receives from sales of its mandated coding software.

It’s the same approach that has worked in the leftist boomer takeover (remember “the Silent Revolution”?) of the ABA, certain liberal denominations, and the MSM. Thanks justiceseeker93.
