Republicans Shut Out of Stimulus Conference Negotiations (Defeat Porkulus!)

Republicans have caught the Democrats in a midnight “stimulus” power play that seeks to cut Republican conferees out of the House-Senate negotiations to resolve a final version of the Obama “stimulus” package. Staff members from the offices of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) met last night to put together the “stimulus” conference report.

They intend to attempt to shove this $1.3 trillion spending bill through in the dead of the night without Republican input so floor action can take place in both chambers on Thursday.

I spoke with House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) moments ago about this latest version of Democratic “bipartisanship.” Pence told me, “I think the American people deserve to know that legislation that would comprise an amount equal to the entire discretionary budget of the United States of America is being crafted without a single House Republican in the room.”

How many Senate RINOs will go along with this? Probably, just enough for the Dems to get away with it.

Yes, I think I do recall that video. That's what pisses me off about Democrats - they are nothing more than bullies and thugs. But what pisses me off more is that Republicans continue to think they can work with them.

I say when we get control of our government back - and we will - we treat them exactly the same they have treated us. No quarter, no mercy. No negotiation, no "reaching across the aisle" BS. Shove our conservative values down their throats, laugh in their smug faces and tell 'em to suck it up.

I'm sick of it. To Hell with them.

Check out Congressman Price saying the same thing on YouTube while standing outside of Pelosi’s office.

Who benefits from the growth of government?
Lots of people.

Then who benefits the most?
The Democrats and their close friends.

Who loses?
Those who create jobs before government shows up to take from them.

What will happen if that continues to happen?
Our nation folds.

Yes, the politicians are gaming us.

Sort of what the House Republican did when they were drafting the medicare prescription bill -- they invited insurance and drug company reps in but refused admittance to the House Dems.

It's called payback. That's what happens when you squander your leadership and become the minority party.

Tough concept for some people...often those who gloat when fortunes are reversed.

just heard on the 6 pm fox news that possibly a dozen or less republicans may break rank and vote for that porkulus bill EVEN THOUGH IT HAS NOT EVEN BEEN READ?!?

I am completely speechless. The whole country fell down the rabbit hole. This is beyond disgusting.
