Republicans Shut Out of Stimulus Conference Negotiations (Defeat Porkulus!)
Human Events ^ | Wednesday, February 11, 2009 | Connie Hair

Republicans have caught the Democrats in a midnight “stimulus” power play that seeks to cut Republican conferees out of the House-Senate negotiations to resolve a final version of the Obama “stimulus” package. Staff members from the offices of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) met last night to put together the “stimulus” conference report.

They intend to attempt to shove this $1.3 trillion spending bill through in the dead of the night without Republican input so floor action can take place in both chambers on Thursday.

I spoke with House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) moments ago about this latest version of Democratic “bipartisanship.” Pence told me, “I think the American people deserve to know that legislation that would comprise an amount equal to the entire discretionary budget of the United States of America is being crafted without a single House Republican in the room.”

How many Senate RINOs will go along with this? Probably, just enough for the Dems to get away with it.

Conservative congressmen might as well join the protest out on the steps of Congress. They have nothing to lose at this point and everything to gain.

“There is more to congress than getting elected. Already this faction has FBI records on everyone (via our Sec of State) and a doting press who edits their coverage to promote and punish whoever they wish. Can it be that a few of our great republicans in office fear the wrath of the power-mad (and now all-powerful) democrats more than that of their voters?

If they are good to the democrats, will their future elections not have strong democrats/advertising to compete with them?

As this porkulus progresses the business environment retreats. Why don’t they care?”
*****

Or are they ALL (or at least Most) in the tank and are they ALL (or most) just gaming us??

Anyone watching CNN? The moron reporter just said the Republicans gave this a ‘wink and a nod.’ And then mentioned something about some congressional Republicans possibly voting for it.

Why doesn’t somebody just kick in the f’ng door?!? I am so sick and tired of this weakling crap. Somebody up there needs to get their head and ass wired together and start making noise!

I feel the exact same way. I have never seen so many jelly spines fawn all over each other at our expense. I called my reps office, Snow and Collins, and spoke to some snot nose kiss asses who were no help with the exception that they said the senators were comfortable with the health provision.

Disgusting weak pathetic wimps, ALL OF THEM!

Honestly, I’m a glad they were shut out of negotiations. It’s not like Republicans had any say in it to begin with. Let the Rats leave their finger prints on this inevitable failure.

only 45% of the American people supported the Republican party in the last election...............>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

MAybe 45% of voters supported the Republican Party.

Many did not vote. They will in the next election after pusface gets done with them.

When the ACORN gang comes knockin on your door to do the census, it tends too set a person thinking.

So, in other words: Taxation without Representation.

If my representative is shut out, I am not represented.

While I agree, I am worried that too much damage will have been done between now and then.
