On Today's Show... |
Blockbuster! An electronic run on money market accounts nearly destroyed the US economy. Who was behind it, and was it aimed at helping Obama win? (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here)
Obama and Geithner are a team of con men. Obama aims to con the liberal base and the media. Geithner aims to con Wall Street. Neither can con us. (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here)
"Where is the damn saucer? The Senate is supposed to be the saucer that cools the overheated stuff in the cup which comes from the House. The Senate didn't slow anything down! They didn't get deliberative. Nobody knows what they've signed here, as is evidenced by national health care provisions being in the stimulus package." -Rush Limbaugh
|
|
Obama wants this Porkulus bill passed now, now, now, before anyone can read it. Why? Because left-wing items like nationalized health care (with rationing for the elderly) are hidden inside.
"There is an all-out war on achievement in this country -- on Wall Street, in the executive suites, in the heartland -- being conducted by Obama and the Democrat Party." --Rush Limbaugh
Americans at a town hall took their chance to speak to a President, and used it to beg for free stuff -- a kitchen, a salary, a new job. It was sad. (Rush 24/7 Members: Listen Here)
Two Americas watched the president's press conference. One America (led by the Drive-By Media) was dazzled by the supposed brilliance. The rest of us thought he sounded like Castro.
Why is Rush the defacto GOP head? Because he's the only one articulating conservatism in a party that thinks McCain-type moderation wins. Democrats love those kinds of Republicans.

Feds aren’t going to want to - Zero controls justice and the Moonbats control Congress. No one’s gonna call for an investigation into this any more than they’re gonna call for an investigation into ACORN’s RICO activities and Zero’s illegal internet fundraising.

Exactly what you stated, pgkdan, is what I’ve been thinking, and how I see things, and how I feel about this.

Of course we were. Rush said during the Glorious One’s transition that you wait, the Media will now start telling us how the economy is improving under THE ONE.
Well, even the Drive-bys can’t put lipstick on this pig...the Dow’s already down 300+ since 11:00 a.m.

Sarah’s handler came out a week ago as an Obama supporter.

That the Democrats do not want a 9/11 style investigation tells everything one needs to know.

Yep. A dem lady told me that the economy was very, very bad under President Bush. I asked her how the first six years were and, of course, she didn't want to deal with facts. Starting in the Fall, Obama and his MSM will start with comments like "Unemployment showing signs of recovery with only 1% increase" and "GDP decrease better than expected, signalling improving conditions" and the like. After months of all this "good news" people will start to regain confidence, and of course give Obama credit for fixing things.

ABSOLUTELY they can, the can trace every dollar that goes in and out of the stock markets, it has to clear ONE banking agency, a VERY super secret one... No not kidding at all. It does trace every transaction.

If there is evidence of an attempt to manipulate/crash the markets, it should certainly be followed up.Karl Denninger's saying there was a rumor in the pit this AM right before Geithner's speech that he would propose to abolish the Federal Reserve. At that point, all hell broke loose and the snowball kept rolling downhill all afternoon.
It is to the Fed's advantage to keep people in T-bills and out of the market. Keeps the interest rate low and when people are scared out of the market, they run to T-bills. There's a lot of debt to be financed.
Of course, there were quite a few short sellers who benefited from this rumor. Nasty rumors on the floor are supposed to be quashed and those who spread them are supposed to be unceremoniously removed. That didn't happen.

Did Lehman Bros. failure cause this run or did this run cause Lehman Bros. failure? These events occurred at about the same time. Or does one have little to nothing to do with the other?
I think the conspiracy/Soros theory might be putting the cart before the horse on this particular issue, but like Obama I’m all ears.

I wonder...because they’ll be paying $5.00 for a loaf of bread, and probably back up to $4.00+ for a gallon of gas, and the rest of wonderfulness inflation brings.
Near as I can tell, this Porkulus package really only provides blue collar UNION jobs. While there will be work for white collars vis a vis engineering firms, Zero and friends have no real plans to get the white collar workers their jobs back, and there are LOTS of them walking around. And where’s the retails jobs going to come from - unless you want to count condom sales...
