The Treasury Department has blacklisted an Iranian Kurdish opposition group based in northern Iraq, a move that was greeted enthusiastically in Iran’s state-run media as part of a initiative by the Obama administration to forge better U.S.-Iranian relations.

The Party of Free Life of Iranian Kurdistan, known by its Kurdish acronym, PJAK, was created in 2004 and has never engaged in international terrorism or in military activity outside of Iran.

But its guerilla fighters have clashed frequently with Iranian Revolutionary Guards units in Iranian Kurdish towns and villages, making it a primary target of the Iranian regime.

“PJAK, was created in 2004 and has never engaged in international terrorism or in military activity outside of Iran.”

Right there is the reason Obama blacklisted them.

The PJAK don’t even aim for separatism. Nor are they commies. Their stated goal is federalism/regional rights within Iran. They fight the Revolutionary Guards and were supported allegedly by us and the Israelis. Folks like them are potential allies versus the Mullahs, and now we screw them over to do the Ayatollah’s bidding. Obamullah!

Iran is also dealing with a true terror group from Baluchistan in the border region with Pakistan. They have been fighting to protect their lucrative role in the global heroin traffic for years. They are now also at war with both Iran and Pakistan over sovereignty. It is they, not AQ, who kidnapped and beheaded the Polish geologist last week.

If Iran or the UN (previous article) like it, it’s bad for the US. Guess who’s coming for dinner?

Liberals fawned all over that little propaganda piece “Charlie Wilson’s War” as if it were the ‘correct way’ to run a covert military operation. I wonder if those same people can acknowledge the cowardice in this latest move by Obama?

The Kurds have been very faithful to the USA; and I’d rather have a few firm friends than a lot of fairweather “allies” (does Turkey come to mind?)

Of course he would do that. He is a terrorist sympathizer. If he could he would black list the US Military in order to please terrorists the world over. Maybe he will.
