Obama is on a 73 day schedule begun on May 9. On May 9, Obama made a joke at the Correspondents Dinner about doing his next hundred days in 72 days, and on the 73rd day, he would rest. There is meaning to this. He fully intends to deliver us ON TIME.
Top nuclear expert missing in India

One of India’s leading nuclear scientists has gone missing in mysterious circumstances provoking fears he has been kidnapped for classified information.
Lokanathan Mahalingam had access to some of the country’s most sensitive nuclear information and the government has ordered an inquiry into his disappearance.
Mr Mahalingam, 47, worked at the Kaiga Atomic Power Station in Karnataka, close to Project Seabird, a major military base.
He went for a walk early on Monday morning and has not been seen since.
Authorities are not yet sure whether his disappearance poses a security threat and the Indian Intelligence Bureau is investigating whether he has been eaten by leopards, committed suicide, disappeared wilfully or been kidnapped.
Colleagues said that Mr Mahalingam, who works in the simulator training division of the nuclear power plant, is an introvert with few friends but no enemies.
Interesting.
Maybe we can throw a few obstacles in the path between now and then.

Saw that thing on Venezuela a couple hours ago but couldn’t find anything that confirmed it. Hard to confirm eyewitness reports on the ground when they are constraining and ejecting media. Chavez was being bombastic in support of Ahmadinejad (saw a link somewhere on that twitter feed). But nothing so far on the troops.
There are more eyewitness reports of Palestinian Hamas and Lebanese Hezbollah imported as street muscle to do the dirty work. Would be nice if there were some youtube pics of them but completely understand why a college student wouldn’t want to get close enough to get a good look at their shoulder patches. No sense in being easy target pratice for those thugs.

Air France 447 Timeline.
Don’t assume just because no terrorist group has claimed responsiblity that it is not terroist related. Actually it is normal over that last years for Al Qeada and other to not claim responsibility for terrorist acts for months after, if at all. Do some research and you will find this is true.
That said, I am not saying that this was caused by terrorism, but I have been tracking incident closely and will add to my previous posts.
I am not one for conspiracy theories but this crash has some very disturbing coincidences.
May 26 - France opens a military base in Dubai. This is the first time France has opened a military base in a foreign country in 50 years. It was a well known fact that one of the things that motivated Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda was the establishment of US military bases and personnel in the Mideast, specifically in Saudi Arabia.

May 27 - A bomb threat is received on an Air France flight from Buenos Aires Argentina.

Google Al Qaeda, Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay and you will find articles dating to 2003 about terrorists in this tri-border region, including information on attacks they have carried out.
May 31 - Air France 447 crashes mysteriously. Immediately authorities discount terrorism and focus on weather, mechanical issues and possible pilot error.
June 4 - Spanish pilots say they saw a bright flash of light that descended vertically for 6 seconds in the vicinity and time that AF 447 may have been lost.

June 5 - The LA Times posts an article disputing that weather was as bad as reported, with analysis showing that the most severe storms were 150 miles from where AF 447 was supposed to have crashed.

Further weather analysis shows that the plane flew through thunderstorms for about 12 minutes, or 75 miles, but that these thunderstorms were similar to what aircraft routinely encounter. In fact, 12 other international flights traveled along essentially the same flight corridor without incident.

June 10 – A report that 2 passengers on AF 447 were on a French Terrorist Watch List was quickly refuted by the same organization that a few hours earlier reported the information. Also reported was the Air France CEO disputed that the flight crashed due to air speed problems.

June 11 – Reports that the bodies are scattered 50 miles apart in the ocean, indicating a break up of the plane at high altitude. The reports discount terrorism, but how anyone can dismiss terrorism as a possible cause of this crash with these facts is beyond me. I would think that this would be the first thing investigators would be looking at.

June 17 – Forensic analysis of bodies recovered indicates that the plane broke up in the air. Although no bodies showed burns or damage from an explosion, such a cause can not be ruled out at this time.

I just don’t see how anyone can eliminate terrorism as a possible cause for this without more facts. When I hear Brazilian, French and US officials dismiss any talk of terrorism, I wonder how they can honestly say that!

Rumors in the Aviation community. Aircraft breakup, and the cause, poorly designed composite parts, control surfaces (Vertical Stabilizer ah la NYC American Crash) and other suspects. Airbus will be in deep dark trouble after this. Their composite materials may not have been properly designed or certified for safe flight in all conditions.

DUBAI (Reuters) - If it were in a position to do so, Al Qaeda would use Pakistan’s nuclear weapons in its fight against the United States, a top leader of the group said in remarks aired Sunday. . .
“God willing, the nuclear weapons will not fall into the hands of the Americans and the mujahideen would take them and use them against the Americans,” Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, the leader of al Qaeda’s in Afghanistan, said in an interview with Al Jazeera television.
Abu al-Yazid was responding to a question about U.S. safeguards to seize control over Pakistan’s nuclear weapons in case Islamist fighters came close to doing so. . .
Asked about the group’s plans, the Egyptian militant leader said: “The strategy of the (al Qaeda) organisation in the coming period is the same as in the previous period: to hit the head of the snake, the head of tyranny — the United States. . .

NEW YORK (AP) - Former Vice President Dick Cheney has signed a book deal with a conservative imprint of Simon & Schuster and said he hopes readers of all ideologies will be interested in his story.
The memoir by Cheney, widely considered the most powerful vice president in history, is expected to be published in Spring 2011, a few months after President George W. Bush’s book comes out. Cheney’s work is currently untitled and will cover his long career in government, from chief of staff under President Ford to vice president under Bush, from Vietnam and Watergate to the first Gulf War and the Sept. 11 attacks.
In a telephone interview Tuesday with The Associated Press, the 68-year-old Cheney noted that he had never written a book about his years in government, which dates back to the 1960s.
“I’m persuaded there are a lot of interesting stories that ought to be told,” Cheney said. “I want my grandkids, 20 or 30 years from now, to be able to read it and understand what I did, and why I did it.”

Mossad-Taliban whistleblower killed in Pakistan
A tribal leader who earlier defected from Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud and revealed the militants group’s ties with the US and Israel has been shot dead.
The assassination of Qari Zainuddin comes days after he revealed that their comrade was pursuing a US-Israeli agenda across the violence-wracked country.
Zainuddin, a 26-year-old rising tribesman who had called Mehsud “an American agent” was killed by a gunman in northwestern town of Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday.
Zainuddin, who broke away from Mehsud, was also increasingly critical of Mehsud’s use of suicide bombings targeting civilians.
In an interview with local media the defector said that Mehsud had established strong links with Israeli intelligence services, which were destabilizing the nuclear armed country. “These people (Mehsud and his men) are working against Islam.”
