Critical Threats: Blank When None
Cheney warns of new attacks

Former Vice President Dick Cheney warned that there is a “high probability” that terrorists will attempt a catastrophic nuclear or biological attack in coming years, and said he fears the Obama administration’s policies will make it more likely the attempt will succeed.

In an interview Tuesday with Politico, Cheney unyieldingly defended the Bush administration’s support for the Guantanamo Bay prison and coercive interrogation of terrorism suspects.

And he asserted that President Obama will either backtrack on his stated intentions to end those policies or put the country at risk in ways more severe than most Americans — and, he charged, many members of Obama’s own team — understand.

“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry,” Cheney said.

The fact that the Yemeni border is "on fire" via Saudi troops is quite telling, IMO. But the topper is the Irish jihadist.
Thanks much MamaD for the excellent info.

Oh oh, about your computer. Hope to see you back here soon.

Irish jihadi operates in Swat and Rawalpindi

In a meeting in one of the city’s parks last month he told The Sunday Times that he had a “divine calling” to kill. “I would feel good because you are killing for God. I have practised enough mentally to know that when my time comes I’ll be ready. I pray every night for bravery,” he said.

The 313 Brigade

22. The jihadi picture in Pakistan is getting murkier and murkier. Nobody----neither Pakistan's political and military leaders nor the US intelligence agencies and military leadership nor the mushrooming community of terrorism analysts all over the world---- seems to understand what the hell is going on in Pakistan, which is inexorably becoming a country beyond understanding and beyond redemption.

Eco-Nazi jihad with light bulb death bombs

....the government estimates a whopping 10% of CFLs are disposed of safely, so only 90% of these bulbs that cause birth defects will wreak death and destruction upon us. Brain damage, birth defects, vision distortions, hearing, speaking and hair loss for starters, even death. What genius came up with this plan? And which politicians are pushing to legislate that we use these death grenades instead of waiting for inexpensive LED alternatives???

You might be a jihadi if....

You get the idea.  While studying the media coverage of Nidal Hasan, I began to realize that there are a great number of Americans who don't recognize a terrorist when they see one.  Political correctness is allowing our enemies to hide in plain sight. Clearly, Americans need a guide to help them realize when there is a jihadist in their midst.  Victor Davis Hanson, in his latest Pajamas Media article, suggests the absurdity of our inability to connect the dots:

Diversity is an enabler, indeed

Snips: Mainstream networks ignored, denied or downplayed the Islamic terrorism angle.

The only way we can ensure that terrorists are unable to perpetrate this sort of operation ever again is to adopt the war footing that we should have been on for the last eight years, stop denying that a large segment of the Islamic world is out to kill us, and purge the institutions charged with protecting this nation of the plague of political correctness. Contrary to George Casey’s denial, the only thing unimaginable or incomprehensible about the Fort Hood shootings was that the US Army ever allowed a Muslim Major to decompress US soldiers returning from battle against other Muslims.

Good morning folks.

Back from a 3-day road trip/gear test. Gear was good. Procedure was a bit flawed. I took 3 times as long to load and secure the gear (and there was not that much of it) as I had planned. Something to think about.

Keep up the good work here folks. We need all the information we can get, the state run media sure won't tell us anything relevant.

Stay Safe folks.

Genzyme is a very interesting company which is often mentioned in the press, or discussed on CNBC.

They have provided some of the only effective treatments for a few of the millions of genetic disorders - disorders referred to as "Orphan Diseases," because so tiny a percentage of the entire population have them, that only infintesimile amounts of research about them are ever done, and thus for many generations only "primative" treatment, if any, was available.

If you do a google "news alert" for the word Genzyme, you'll be sent many interesting stories, as they are cutting edge insofar as DNA/Disease is concerned.

The CEO is frequently interviewed live on TV.

The TOTAL number of people these contaminated products effect is small in comparison to a "tylenol-type" of contamination square, but the people whom it effects general have NO other treatment available.

Some of the medical research nowadays is just fascinating....

RE: Emergency Gear

I've read lots of suggestions online, that besides the 72-hour bug out bags (OR "bobs") that should be right by the door, that it is wise, PARTICULARLY DURING WINTER MONTHS, to have all the emergency survival gear ALREADY packed -- into a heavy duty rubbermaid-type container which is then placed in the garage.

You can even hide it away in the garage rafters -- NOT food stuffs, of course, but the GEAR.

This way it is all in ONE spot, immediately accessible to place in the trunk of your car, or the back of a pick up.

If all the tents, blankets, sleeping bags, camp lanterns, misc.tools, etc. are ALL OF THEM, cleaned in August and then carefully packed into one large container -- then you will NEVER be running all over the house trying to gather survival gear, when you really should already be several miles out of town, on the road to safety.

Some people have multiple spots where they store identical containers of survival gear, just in case any of the locations are impossible to get do.

This means carefully finding duplicate items at prices you can afford.

All the gear in the world is ultimately useless if you can't just GRAB the EMERGENCY SURVIVAL GEAR all at once, and just toss the ONE container into a vehicle.

Good thoughts pennie. That’s what I intend to do this evening, reorganize and re-stage.

That’s why I took the trip; practice. Now I have a better idea of how things should go.

May go again after Christmas. Going to be too busy before then.

Thanks again for the suggestions!

LOL, AD --- Do please notice that I wrote, "I've read online," and not anything whatsoever about where our survival gear is stored.

LOL

However, it does behoove people to seriously consider even simple issues such as, "Do I simplify and donate all these old sheets and worn blankets to the Goodwill, OR..... do I commit to carefully storing them in the rafters of the attic or garage and making certain that they are laundered once a year to ensure freshness & true cleanliness?" These items can ALWAYS go to a homeless shelter or the Salvation Army & Goodwill. But should they immediately be donated??

I have also read online in many different places, that after Katrina, that although people needed some clean dry clothing, that what they DESPERATELY needed was clean sox and brand new underwear.

While Americans "generously" cleaned out their closets of old clothes - clothing they, themselves hadn't worn in YEARS, and shipped thousands upon thousands of truckloads to the area, only very few Americans would spend ten bucks on new underwear, in any size or color.

LOL

They had so many warehouses of old old old worn out clothes, that what wasn't made immediately into RAGS was later sold at dollars per TON and then shipped overseas --- TONS & TONS & TONS of secondhand clothing that no Americans were interested in wearing -- there were no charities that could afford to store & display all these OLD clothes that had aged & aged in closets that no one else in America wanted to wear, either -- LOL.

You might think I'm silly to bring this up --- but really, the FACT remains is that that was what was the MOST REQUESTED, most desperately needed item, and not yet another pile of 1983 blue jeans and shrunken unravelling sweaters. So.... wouldn't it make sense that socks, underwear, toothpaste, soap, facecloth, deorderant -- that these real BASICS would be the Ultimate Barter Item in most severe emergency situations? That cute little almost miniature folding hairbrush that recently went on clearance - THAT might be the kind of item that would literally feed your entire family someday.

The old sheets, towels, miscellaneous bedding can ALWAYS be donated to a homeless shelter - but meantime, it might be wise to simply let it accumulate in a CLEAN DRY SAFE manner, where you MAINTAIN them yearly, as it could possible save your life, and those of your neighbors & friends in these dangerous times.

Now, hoarding a bunch of disorganized old dirty worn out crap is NOT helpful during any day & age, and hoarding is not what I'm advising. For instance, when we happen to purchase a new can opener, we don't automatically throw the old one away, if you know what I mean.

LOL

Where all of this is simply NOT funny is that unfortunately most Americans do not follow anything about potential terror attacks and/or other natural disasters and/or national emergencies.

There will be MANY wanting people with MANY needs someday, I fear.

Contractors in Iraq to be subject to American laws

Snips: Senators introduced legislation Wednesday that would bring foreign military contractors under the jurisdiction of American laws following an appeal from the parents of a soldier allegedly killed by a contractor in Iraq.

The subcommittee also released a report showing that federal agencies rarely dismiss abusive contractors.
The investigation revealed that over the last five years, the Defense Department Office of Inspector General reported 2,700 convictions, but the Defense Department only debarred 708 contractors.

The Department of Homeland Security did not debar any contractors in 2006, despite widespread reports of waste, fraud and abuse following Hurricane Katrina.

Accused terrorist's rights not violated by military counsel's removal, judge finds

Snips: A man accused of conspiring to bomb U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998 will not be allowed to keep the military lawyers assigned to him when he was imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay.

Southern District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan ruled Wednesday that the rights of Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani were not violated by the decision of the Secretary of Defense to reassign the two lawyers designated to represent him when he was preparing for trial before a military commission.

The U.S. Supreme Court, he said, has stated that the "right to counsel of choice does not extend to defendants who require counsel to be appointed for them," United States v. Gonzalez-Lopez, 548 U.S. 140 (2006), and "those who do not have the means to hire their own lawyers have no cognizable complaint so long as they are adequately represented by attorneys appointed by the courts," Caplin & Drysdale, Chartered v. United States, 491 U.S. 617 (1989).

There is a very informative update about the H1N1 outbreak in Ukraine, located here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2278371/replies?c=6845

You'd think this kind of news, particularly about all the nasal swabs returning H1N1 negatives, whereas the later autopsies showing that the lungs are riddled with H1N1 would be on the cable news channels, 24/7 - but, no.

Thanks for directing me to the info on the H1N1 bug. A neighbor of mine said that an area of India the size of Texas was shutdown - no one allowed to leave their house. The gov’t was delivering food house to house.

The info came to light via a web video game, some of the players were talking.

The state controlled media will tell us NOTHING, but propaganda.

Folks, the holiday season is upon us again. We know that the muslims would LOVE to get off a large, multi-pronged attack during this time of year.

Smaller attacks, such as the Ft. Hood attack, will probably take place. Be cautious and aware when shopping, especially at malls.

I fear we are more vulnerable to attack now than we were prior to Sept. 11, 2001. Heck, I KNOW we are. That's zero's gift to what's left of our once great country.

Please remain vigilant folks.

Security Police believe that dozens in Finland in contact with terrorists
Saturday 21.11.2009

The Finnish Security Police (SUPO) believe that there are, or have been, dozens of people in Finland who have, or have had contacts with people involved in international terrorism. Lasse Anttila, the head of SUPO’s antiterrorism unit, says that some of the contacts can involve normal interaction with relatives. However, he also says that there are people among them who are known to support some radical and violent ideology.

SUPO says that a few individuals have been willing to travel from Finland to crisis areas to take part in armed activity. Anttila adds that it would not be surprising if someone may have trained at a terrorist training camp, or actually taken part in fighting. “Considering the experiences of other countries, we need to be realists in this matter”, Anttila says.

In Sweden, for instance, officials have said that they are following the activities of organisations such as al-Qaeda and the Somali militant organisation Al-Shabaab, Anttila nevertheless feels that the threat posed by terrorism toward Finland is small. SUPO has not made note of matters that would have led to the launch of criminal investigations in Finland into terrorist crimes. SUPO also says that nobody has been deported from Finland on suspicion of involvement in terrorism. However, a few times a year SUPO recommends against granting a residence permit to an applicant for reasons of national security.

It's the Muslin jihad show

Snips: There are many more defenses I could cite, but it would be tedious and prolix to reduce them to lay understanding. But let's move on to what we in the lawyering business call the "Discovery Process." Every Defendant has the right, and the government must provide to the defendant, a copy of all documents, recordings, interviews, criminal histories, Photographs, police reports, federal agency reports, files at Guantanamo and a sundry of other sensitive material the government intends to use in the prosecution.

In addition to the exposing of ultra-sensitive government material, this trial could, and probably will, encourage other Mohammed copy cats, like, say Major Hasan, the murdering M.D. at Fort Hood, Texas. You might see all sorts of hopped-up Arabs running around your local shopping mall with AK47s blazing, comforted by the fact that they will be protected not only by Allah, but by our Constitution. And if all else fails, they will still, as a not-too-shabby consolation prize, have the virgins waiting for them in the Mecca land, hereafter.

As an afterthought, I have learned from a reliable source (highly connected in the BO administration), that Mohammed has asked for and has been granted the services (prior to trial) of a government-paid barber and a hair wax removal kit. I questioned my source about this extravagance. He replied, "It’s the image, stupid."

DuPage County - Foes of Islamic center wonder if it's linked to Avila Foundation

Snips: After citing concerns over parking and late-night services, residents near Naperville are offering DuPage County officials a new reason to reject a proposed Islamic center in their neighborhood: a financial connection to a foundation suspected of aiding Iran's nuclear weapons program.

The proposed Irshad Learning Center, which would be on 75th Street between Wehrli Road and Naper Boulevard in unincorporated Naperville, received a $300,000 mortgage last year from the Alavi Foundation, according to documents filed with the DuPage County recorder's office.

Federal authorities this month moved to seize an array of U.S.-based properties, bank accounts and religious sites connected to the Alavi Foundation, which they allege has been funneling money to an Iranian bank owned by the Iranian government and being used to help build its weapons program.

"Where did this money come from? Did Irshad Learning Center get money through the Iranian government?" he said. "I think those are fair questions."

American convert to Islam endorses death penalty for apostasy

Snip: Umar Lee to Spencer:

Im not that up on that case. What i do know is we live in a very imoral society and teens are bombarded with negative messages. Any teen girl who is not a serial fornicator is seen as square and if she has good muslim parents making sure she is not acting like a ho she may rebel. I am not a scholar but the ruling on apostacy is clear. In an ideal world the apostate would face death but there is no authority to implement the shariah in america so no she shouldnt be killed and besides this girl may very well be making the whole thing up.

75% in Pak say they're Muslims 1st

A British Council’s report has shockingly revealed that an overwhelming three quarters of people in Pakistan consider themselves as Muslims first and Pakistani’s second.

“Only 10% have faith in national or local government, the courts or police, while three quarters see themselves as Muslims first, Pakistani second, compared to just 14% who see themselves as primarily a citizen of Pakistan,” the Daily Times quoted the report, as saying.
