These people continue to be very serious in their stated intent, and I for one trust them more than the ever-ready-to-compromise NRA.

"nor prohibited by it to the states"THIS is the KEY; prohibitions by the STATES to stop Congress from mortgaging our great-grandchildres' futures, and remove their meddling from our personal lives.
Unfortunately, you could expect the USSC to protect the Congress, by some tortured interpretaion of those words in the Constitution, as they've been doing a LOT of that over the past several years, re-inventing the Founders' intent.
