LOS ANGELES (AP) - The mother who gave birth to octuplets identified a Beverly Hills fertility clinic that she said provided in-vitro fertilization for all 14 of her children.

Nadya Suleman said in an interview that aired Monday on NBC's "Today" show that she used the West Coast IVF Clinic for all of her pregnancies.

Lots of people will call me crazy, but I’m kinda inclined to think the fertility clinic ought to be the ones that have to buy shoes and clothes for the kids.

Not like those guys are totally innocent bystanders or something.

you’re not crazy, sounds reasonable. let’s make the ivf doctor “new daddy of eight”.

Something tells me she’s said that many times before, and ended up caving every time. Nadya obviously has some head problems, but as far as I can tell, they largely result from being raised (through age 33!) by parents who don’t have a clue how to say “no”. With 14 children, I imagine that Nadya is going to be forced to learn how to say “no”.

I would predict in a year she will no longer have the kids.

Everybody, not just me, senses a somewhat severe backlash against her. At a time when stable families with two or three children are having a hard time stretching their dollars, this dame expects to give her children “love” and have them flourish.

Any company that starts doling out diapers to her or whatever should be boycotted.

Why in heck condone it? Why reward it? I’d be way more inclined to throw a few bucks to some guy with a wife and kids who just lost his job or something.

I told my son as this was coming out with a smattering of details that the only way that I could see for a woman of her limited means to have this many in-vitro procedures done would be by donation of services; and now that we have learned that they were all done in one clinic by likely one doctor and the donor was the same man for all of them, that the doctor is likely the guy she beat off for this remarkable publicity stunt.

From the looks of it, this woman has also had serious plastic surgery.

Where is all the money coming from?

I read somewhere that the grandmother had been going to counseling and was advised to kick her out. Understandably, she couldn’t do that while her daughter was pregnant but she’s going to have to show some “tough love” here and refuse to take responsibility for any more. Maybe the family is large enough that the babies can be adopted out with relatives. As long as this mother has trophy babies though, I think she’s going to continue this behavior until she has more than any other celebrity family. JMO

“Trophy babies”.

Best description I’ve heard yet.
I’m pro-life but I ain’t pro-litter.

You can bet she’s just drooling over all the interview bucks and book royalties.

She can go pound salt for all I care, I just hope CPS isn’t asleep at the wheel on this one.

Every aspect of this story is messed up! I hope for the sanity of all something is done to take care of those children! I, obviously, have concerns about the crazy baby machine's enabling parents however, the fertility clinic needs to be investigated as well.

That's what I want to know. Who paid for these treatments. No way her disability payments covered those cost. My wife and I tried a couple of IVF treatments in CA 14 yrs ago and I think it was about $6K to $7K for each treatment.

There are some families of large multiples that didn’t plan it but are working and supporting their family. They are taking care of their own kids. I hate to see them suffer any bad media because of the behavior of this woman.

certainly doesn’t appear to have a “sugar daddy” other than the taxpayers.

no wonder her dad ran back to iraq.

i lost my job and had to cash in my 401k and of course pay a huge penalty to support my children and myself.

she leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.

the more she opens her yap, the bigger the whole she’s digging. she may not have them, esp. if grandma quits and who would blame her?

when i heard grandma say that she knew NOTHING about the disability baby-mommy was receiving from the quasi-govt. taxpayer/business funded disability, and baby-mommy gave grandma and grandpa NOTHING to cover the cost of the 6 that she already has, that made me even sicker. baby-mommy may not even last the year with custody of her kids.

and if one is on disability for a back injury, how irresponsible is it to keep having pregnancies if the doctor tells you it’s making your back worse?

how can she think she could possibly provide time for her kids, let alone support them?

she apparently doesn’t take care of them or clean up after them.

what a prima donna.

“Her parents are at least as out of their minds as she is. No way could she have managed to get this far if they hadn’t been aiding and abetting her all the way. They should have called social services a long time ago, and refused to pay another dime or provide any more free child care services.”

Agreed! (I got blasted on another thread for saying something very similar). She could not have done all of this without her parents help in raising the kids. And what mother would not RUN to the authorities after seeing her daughter impregnanted in such a way so many times?

If you research this story from the beginning, Grandma and Grandpa were not complaining. I seem to remember Grandpa saying on the news that they had a huge house that they were going to be moving into.

Then little by little the truth started leaking out, and there has been a ton of backlash. Now they seem to have had a change of heart. Especially after the daughter goes on public t.v. and tells the world she came from a dysfunctional family.

Perhaps, they were upset when told of the 8 babies, but I wonder if they thought that America was going to step in and donate things like they have done in the past.

The whole thing is sick. A lawyer should sue the clinic and doctor and the money should be put in a trust for the kids.
