The Honorable Arlen Specter

Sen. Specter,
On behalf of the several hundred thousand members of FreeRepublic.com, I urge you to vote against cloture and passage of the so-called stimulus bill, or as we call it, the Porkulus Bill.
We appreciate your good faith efforts on improving the bill. However, statements by your Democratic colleagues show that they have no intention of abiding by the compromises negotiated with you. In short, the Democrats are playing you and the American people for suckers.
This bill needs to be stopped. If passed, it will pile so much debt on our citizens, with more indebtedness to come with TARP and the omnibus bill, that they will become slaves to that debt and slaves to government.
As you reflect on your votes today and tomorrow, I ask you to consider what our Founding Fathers would do in this situation. Would they sacrifice and endure short term pain for the good of the Nation, or would they vote to enslave future generations with unsustainable debt for short term gain?
May God save America from its government,

Thank you. It’s amazing the depth of attachment one gets to their furry children.
Thanks. I’ve been calling, though I have to say Sen. Bunning rarely disappoints. :)
Sen. McConnell is a tossup day to day.
Please don’t post his face anymore. It turns my stomach.
inflationalist socialist spending
.
Inflation? You mean when everybody has more money chasing less goods, prices will go up? Democrats are good for the economy, according to the polls the media promoted prior to the election
Thank you. Knowing that you gave them the best possible life is a comfort. I just always hope I’ve improved the quality of their life in the same way they have improved mine.
*L* I’ll pass it along.
RINO Watch: “Simulus” Turncoats
http://www.black-and-right.com/2009/02/09/rino-watch-stimulus-turncoats/
New radio ads will begin airing in three states as early as Sunday to help counter criticism of a handful of Republican senators who have said they will support President Obama’s economic recovery plan.
The ads paid for by the liberal interest group Americans United for Change will “thank” Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snow of Maine and Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania. The ad also highlights Nebraska’s Sen. Ben Nelson, a centrist Democrat in the middle of the negotiations over the $827 billion proposal.
Do you see a red flag when liberals “thank” Republicans?
I knew there was something fishy when Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, and Arlen Specter were, all of a sudden, on our side. Like that was going to last long

Hmmm... remember this? We need an answer from Rush.

Are you with Obama or Rush?

From USA Today....
“Free tickets to the Concord High School town-hall-style meeting (to see Obama) were handed out first-come-first-served starting at noon Saturday. People were lined up before 7 a.m. and the tickets were gone by early afternoon. ... Nawab Manjee also sees it as an opportunity. Manjee, 24, who owns a commercial real estate company in nearby Granger, got four tickets on Saturday and promptly put a pair up on Craigslist, the classified ads website, for $1,000. He wants to use the money to help make payroll for his struggling company. By late Sunday, he had several offers, but none had met his asking price.”
Wonder how many fiscally enlightened folks got in at the town meeting?

LASHING OUT AT LIMBAUGH

Three different people emailed me a link to this Politico column all saying the same thing: I didnt know John Feehery was such a d**k.
The guy pretends to speak for the entire Republican Party. He probably actually thinks he does because a look at his resume reveals the following:
He worked for Bob Michel.
He managed communications for Speaker Hastert.
And, direct from his biography:
He has been called indefatigable by Norm Ornstein and highly-regarded by the Washington Posts Al Kamen, and he was repeatedly named to Roll Calls Fab Fifty List for when he served in Congress.
That all, right there, says everything about why we should not take anything this guy says seriously.
Bob Michel Republicans like to be yes men to Democrats until people like Limbaugh force them out of their habits.
Not many. It’s kind of embarrassing. Someone just basically said since he voted for Obama he should get some money. Now Bambi’s hatin’ on Hannity. WTH??
Oh, I’m sorry. It’s really tough to lose them.
Remeber who they poll.
Most people who are polled just give whatever answer pops into their heads
If you asked most people what specifically they like or don’t like about any politician they have no idea
