Xrays, stay at the hospital, blood workups, drugs
A vet stay is almost as expensive as a person.
Before you say it... I realize the cat is old but I also live with the person who had the cat since it was a ball of fur in the cup of her hand. You do what you gotta do... at least once.
That’s why she called this morning. If it’s as bad as last time, my wife knows Kitty won’t be coming home.

C’mon Rush, where’s the passion? You got the words but you need a little Levin passion.
Also, check this out Rush when you’re doing your show prep tonight.

In some of the socialist countries they won’t pay that much for an old person!

$3000 for a 17 year old sick cat!? Yeah, I understand that. When a pet has been with us for that long, it is not "just an animal", it's a companion and part of the family. Vet care is so expensive now! It's like anything else, you weigh the cost/benefit against how much you're able to spend and other needs.

One thing about kitties: even in the sadness, there is always another looking for a good home. New kitties are not replacements... I’ve never met two that had the same personality. In the hundreds of cats we’ve worked with, no two could be said to be the same.
I hope your kitty comes home and lives a long, happy life with you.

Did anyone see this? If you suspected Charlie Crist was a shameless RINO, this now confirms it.
In a statement from the White House, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist explains his decision to join Obama at his Fort Myers rally tomorrow.
Crist: Florida has taken prudent steps to cut taxes for our people and balance our budget in these increasingly difficult times. Any attempts at federal stimulus must prioritize job creation and targeted tax relief for small business owners. I am eager to welcome President Obama to the Sunshine State as he continues to work hard to reignite the US economy." (1:38 p.m.)
To: Pfesser
It’s not like it used to be. I took in 2 cats for ‘some’ not all— shots and a $30.00 blood test just last weekend...it cost me over $300. I don’t buy clothes or go out or eat much.

I hate losing a pet more than anything. However; I would ask that your wife consider my tag line...it brings one great joy to be able to save a kitty (or two, or three, etc...) from the ‘Green Mile’. Even your local shelter may have some very handsome kitties that would LOVE a chance at life...

It seems to me that it would be more humane to give a 17 year old sick cat the green needle but it’s not my money or cat. Still, I’m afraid that the green needle is coming and the doctor took them for $3000.
