He apparently is toying with the idea of running for political office, possibly gov of Michigan. I think he just might win...he is so darn articulate, (and clean!!!) and really believes in his conservative values...an anomaly in politics.

Well, maybe it's because I already have a lot of guns and a lot of ammo I come from this viewpoint. You can predict that the moon is going to fall on the earth also. However, I don't think that unemployment is going to reach 25% and we're going to be in a state of anarchy. A more likely scenario is that "The One" will attempt to erode our second amendment rights through the election of judges and enacting unconstitutional laws. The NRA will be able to help in this area a lot more than all of your guns and ammo.

I'm trying to do my part on the ammo sales, too. I went to Walmart last week and bought all of their 40 S&W ammo - both boxes.

if unemployment is counted like it used to be counted, then it is at 13.9% as of last week. Since then, Nissan cut 4000 jobs in America. Other companies are cutting like crazy. Unemployment could reach 20% (U-6) by year end if calculated the way it was calculated before Clinton rewrote the calculation. If this country reaches 20%+ unemployment, you won’t recognize this place.

So pessimistic. You don’t think much of your fellow cotozens, do you? While I agree with you to an extent, I only think half of the American citizenry are traitors (and abject cowards, to boot). Of the remaining 50%, I think that 30% are fence-sitters, and 20% are patriots who want to save the United States and return it to its standing as the land of the free and the home of the brave. Thus, when the SHTF, it will be 50% against 20%, but a great number of that 50% are, as stated above, cowards, and will run at the least sign of resistance. Still, it will be a hard fight, but I am confident the 20% will prevail. If they don’t, then the United States is finished, and will fall to the level of being an effeminate, wimpy, and failed marxist hell hole.

I hope you are right and I am wrong, but in any event, it isn't 1776. The average American is now a jaded, selectively-educated dickweed with the courage of a rabbit. If you can look around yourself and see patriots willing to die for anything, let alone freedom, you live in a better neighborhood than I do.
