Jim Rob is kicking off Monday with a 10AM meeting at Arlen Specters office, 711 Hart Senate Office Building. Freepers are meeting there. If you cant make it Monday, hes your second chance. Jim Rob is to be there both days.
While I cant make it to D.C. on Monday but on TUESDAY I will be on Constitution Avenue in front on the Russell and/or Hart Buildings on Tuesday to help coordinate this days Senate visits and to protest the Porkulus Bill.
I will be there between 9:30AM and 3PM. I plan to have a tall protest sign so look for that land mark. If you think you need a face to go with my screen name, check out the second picture in this Walter Reed AAR. Im the one on the left. And yes, Ill have my supply of cigars.
Closest metro is the Union Station Red Line. After you get out of Union Station, go a little left of your line of sight with the Capitol Building. You will run directly into the senate buildings.
Temps will be in the 60s, Zero chance of rain.
There is a closure vote on the bill Monday late so final plans for Tuesday will still have to be determined.. Look for the Update Post Number in the thread title on Monday night.
I will be working with Kristinn on a list of Senators to visit. I will also have some protest posters.

I remember reading that the reason Maine is so wishy washy is because there is some type of national base or facility that the dem threaten to eliminate if they don’t fall in line....Does anyone know anything about this?
Signed the petition to stop Democrats and RINOS from forcing socialism down out throats.
8:32pm Central Standard Time, Sunday Feb 8th. Mailbox full.
Guess we’ll have to wait till morning LOL
I agree. However, Arlen will be replaced with a Democrat...oops he is a Democratic more or less.
and where is that great senator Joe Liberman I ask you?
eating pork with the rest.
McCain surprised me in opposing this thing.
Thank You all for your KUDOS and well wishes, and your suggestions.
We’ll use the suggestions as much as we can. So much to do in so little time.

Thanks, now I need some time to view it. Any chance you can put the link up on a thread?
Hope he is replaced with a solid republican.
Message received.
If I have time to print it out, I’ll use the pic as a poster.
9:02am Central Standard Time, Monday Feb 9th, rings no answer. A little busy do you suppose or are they hiding under their desks?
Hopefully they are out twisting a few arms.
Heads up, Specter will be on Laura Ingraham at the bottom of 2nd hour.
Check out the video from today’s protest inside Sen. Arlen Specter’s office in DC. Great job Jim and Melanie!

I just happened to catch in on TV..so try looking at Cspan for their line up.
Thanks, but I was out making some money. Also heard that he was to be on Hannity today.
On Tuesday we’ll be meeting at 9:30AM on 2nd Street in front of the Hart Building. We still need to keep pressure on the senators so trips to their office will still be needed.
There will be posters to protest the Porkulus Bill, a list of senators to see and their room number, and if there is time tonight, a handout to give the senator’s staff.
We may wonder over to the west or south side of the Capitol with our posters. We just want to get as much exposure as possible.

After seeing Collins speak today, you guys are up against a mountain of ignorance.
I actually felt embarrassed for her, what a tool.
Yep, it doesn’t look good. Maybe too little too late. But there have been a mountain of calls, faxes and emails. At least people are trying what they can.
