I read a summary of the determination and I think way too much is being read into it. Yes, it does allocate $20.3 million to international and other organizations for “...migration needs...” of Gaza residents but it does not allow hundreds of thousands, or for that matter ANY Palestinians into the US. I recommend a critical reading of the presidential determination (which can be accessed through Google) before getting too excited about this. As I see it this is simply a statement of policy that we are to give foreign aid to that area to the tune of $20.3 million. We can disagree with that but let’s not exaggerate what the determination says.

Just another blog that has spiraled out of control! This bill was to provide humanitarian relief to Palestinian refugees caught in the Gaza conflict. There is no free ticket to settle in the U.S. or any other nonsense. It merely earmarks $20 million of an existing Refugee fund for help. I wish people would get the facts straight so that the crazy zealots would not use it for their own means! People - get a life!
I see this presidential determination as a double edged sword.
On one hand it will definatly open our borders to those wishing us harm and this should not be marginalized in the least. the facts state that 55% of Palestinians support suicide bombings and support Hamas. How many of these that felt pressured in to saying this because of an overbearing militaristic regime and how many actually are extremists. Its suffienct data to assume that there will be new terrorist cells in the united states after this is carried out.
On the other hand we are taking people out of the hands of hamas. Many of whom are not supporters of hamas. And when you take man power away from a government you also take some of its economic power. This means less money for hamas to support its terrorist operations. Also it gives the oppressed a chance to voice their true views on Hamas and with enough testimony we may be able to see a shift in the global view of hamas as a freedom fighting entity. Not to mention we are giving these people a first hand look at “the great Satan”. People are inherently rational beings and are able to be persuaded. How many of these refugees are going to see this humanitarian act, make a life for themselves in the US and come to the conclusion that their indoctrination what a bunch of BS.
Also hamas tends to indoctrinate the young at send them to die as suicide bombers. How many of the young are we taking out of their hands by moving these families to our shores.
My conclusion is that this is a chance at dealing a blow to hamas and harming their reputation around the world. But at the same time i worry about the safety of our own.
Remember Lebanon? Lebanon was once a vibrant..prosperous multi cultural community..much like the usa. The PLO were kicked out of Jordon for destablizing this area and the Lebanese allowed these ppl. into their country on a refugee status..the lebanese fed them..gave them jobs. homes. Look at Lebanon now!When the PLO’s moved into Lebanon..christians were massacre’d in great numbers.. tortured horribly before they died at the hand’s of these islamic ghouls.This beautiful once thriving country was demolished by those nice sweet muslims who proclaim love and tolerance for all by inflicting so much misery. They are liers and america..you are next.There are scientists worldwide ..men and women who have seen it all were agast at the injuries inflicted on the innocent by muslim terrorists who were committing jihad for Allah. These men then gloried at what they did and somehow allah is going to reward these monsters for committing such obscenity and pain and suffering of the human race. Open your eyes ppl.
