Just in time for the Oscars, Chris Dodd makes his bid for Best Actor in a Corrupt Role . . .
On this weekends Journal Editorial Report on FNC, host Paul Gigot interviewed Kevin Rennie of the Hartford Courant, who has been closely following the story of the sweetheart deal Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, received from Countrywide Financial under the Friends of Angelo program, a reference to Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo.
The segment opened with a clip of Dodd speaking with reporters at a recent meeting at which he made available a carefully selected set of papers about the deal.
CHRIS DODD: Ive never been a friend of Angelo MozilosMozila?
The screenplay of Dodds little bit doesnt do justice to the acting skills he displayed. You really have to watch the video to appreciate how, in feigned confusion, he turns to someone off camera for help in getting this Angelo fellows last name right. Lawrence Olivier doesnt have a patch on the Nutmeg State thespian.

Angelo? Never hoid of him ping to Today show list.
How I loathe this porcine, over-barbered whore.
Corrupt, scum-bag Democrats!!
How do we find out his tax evading status?
The question should be “how doe we find out about his mortgage payment evading status?”
When he doesn’t pay the loan, it becomes a gift
Perfect!
Christopher just wanted to get his beak wet ;-)
I saw this show and the reporter was excellent.
Johnny Ola told me about these loans.

Democrats believe we peons should
'do as the say, not as they do',
because they are special.
I think you have to give him the benefit of the doubt, after all, you can't expect him to remember the name of EVERY crooked businessman he's taken backhanders and bribes from now can you?
Chris Dodd should be in shackles doing hard time. So should Tim Geithner, Charlie Wrangel , Elliot Spitzer, Bill Richardson and Tom Daschle.
I detest them and their pompous arrogance.
Wow. Scary picture. They both look like those caricature puppets that we watched in Spitting Image.....British program. Look it up. It was very cutting edge when it was on.
