“Collins is toast. “
She’s not toast. Maine is very socialist. When you go there and read the newspapers, all the articles are about this government program and that government program and this agency and that agency. We used to go to Lubec Maine and we loved it, we considered retiring there but it is so socialist and green it’s just unbearable.
Now we’re considering Oklahoma.

Unfortunately she was just re-elected last year. No one should be surprised however.

As long as GOP support is limited to Collins/Specter/Snowe, I still consider it a victory for Republicans and conservatives. Its unrealistic to expect those RINOs to hold tough on a vote like this. Still, its disappointing.I agree. And again the two chambers bills have to be reconciled and there will still bea vote in the House and the Senate so this is not over yet.
Also remember whether the bill is eventually severely changed (doubt it) the fact remains that those that voted for the final bill are still on the hook for everything included in the initial bill.

No one wants to talk to Carl Cameron after his Palin smear. He’s out of the loop.

Isn’t it convenient that they waited until 5PM on the East Coast to announce it. The staff of their offices go home and they get to hear the MSM state what great Senators they are on the evening news.

Oh, and if the vote hasn't happened yet, how does ANYONE know how she'll vote on it, if she herself hasn't announced it? I don't trust Harry Reid to tell the truth about anything. This is probably his way of trying to put pressure on the holdouts. I agree. I'm going with the presumption, as of now, that at least one Pubbie crosses the line and Collin is of course one of the usual suspects. That being said I will not castigate until an official vote has been made.

It’ll probably end up being more than 780B. Next week, the senate and house will have to come with a final deal. You know, Pelosi and Reid are going to stuff some crap back in there.
