Gary Swenchonis, a Texas resident whose son, Gary Jr., was killed in the Cole bombing, told FOX News he turned down an invitation from the White House to meet with Obama.
Swenchonis said he received the invitation Thursday, and that he did not care to travel from Texas to Washington on such short notice to hear the "bad news" that charges were withdrawn in the al-Nashiri case.
Swenchonis and his wife Deborah wrote a letter to Obama last week expressing their concerns about the halting of military trials at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility.
"President Obama, now I fear these sailors who died in the service of the United States will be abandoned again," they wrote. "It will be one more tragedy in a long list of tragedies in the Cole attack. ... Our fear is if the terrorists are tried here in our federal courts, they will go free."

Good call. The man (man?) is a traitor.
Of course its ‘window dressing’.
Window dressing? Ya’ think?
According to Gibbs the families are pleased that now there will be justice for those who were murdered on the USS Cole.
My heart and prayers are with The Swenchonis family.
Barry has already set one record. Fastest collapse of any presidential administration in American history. THAT’S change you can believe in!
No need to worry folks. You are right. It IS window dressing. He has no respect for their sacrifice.
Obama plumbs news depths every day.
i’d say they are correct since the ‘meeting’ was held after the decision was made to drop the charges
“Gary Swenchonis, a Texas resident whose son, Gary Jr., was killed in the Cole bombing, told FOX News he turned down an invitation from the White House to meet with Obama”
My condolences to Mr. Swenchonis. His son is an American Hero! I hope he told the Kenyan where to stuff his invitation!
Katherine Herridge also reported on FOX earlier that Mr. Swenchonis told her that upon hearing the news that Hussein was dropping the charges against this terrorist, she cried all night, again grieving for the son she lost.
How anyone can defend this is beyond me.
Of course it’s window dressing. That a-hole had probably never even MET someone who served in the U.S. military until AFTER he was elected as a senator.
Uh...I’m sure Zero read his letter and is really agonizing over it. Zero knows everything. Zero doesn’t really care what Mr. Swenchonis thinks. I feel badly that Mr. Swenchonis expended his own honorable time writing to such a POS as Zero. Zero ain’t worth the Mr. Swenchonis’s ink.

Window dressing?....more like propaganda!
I hope you keep that growing list, but I’m afraid in about six months you will need a 20 terabyte server.
Very disingenuous to say the least! He can’t stand the military!
