It will break your heart.
Terrorism: Politicians and Victims.

You were warned.
Thanks very much for the link.
Thanks for posting the names and pictures of those killed in the attack on the Cole. RIP. May their families find comfort. Obama sure didn’t make that comfort any easier today.
Apropos to post the 9/11 pictures since Osama bin Laden was inspired by the Cole. I guess Obama just gave terrorist Jihadis new inspiration.
His presidency is on course to destroy America.
There will be a lot of complaints and calls, but they will fall on deaf ears.
My hope is that the CIA handle this matter quickly before any more injustices occur.
Did Susan Crawford undercut Obama?
I think it's more likely she did him a favor by doing it herself instead of having him do it.
See the last part of #134.
Trials are temporarily suspended pending the review Obama called for.
Apparently holding a trial during a review has risk of releasing the defendant, so they dismiss now and plan to retry later.

President Obama has expressed concern about whether the military commissions set up by the Bush administration are the proper way to go forward in pursuing charges against the U.S. detainees, and on January 22 he asked all the judges supervising the trials of detainees for a continuance of 120 days, so a team of administration officials could review the best way forward.
In almost the cases, that continuance request was granted. But last week the judge supervising the al-Nashiri trial — Army Col. James L. Pohl, the chief judge at the Guantanamo Bay war crimes court — said he would not heed President Obama’s request for a 120-day continuance, or delay, in prosecutions of terrorism suspects. Pohl called the president's request “not reasonable” and not “in the interests of justice.”
The arraignment of al-Nashiri is scheduled for Monday, February 9.
Thank you for the comprehensive clarification.
For one time (ha) I didn’t want to just react and overeact lest I be called a Drama Queen.
There is a lot of truth in what you say. If we stay stirred up on these issues we won’t punch as hard on the important stuff (like a trillion dollar Marxist redistribution plan).
What 0bama’s up to is plenty bad enough.
Announcing he’s closing Gitmo (without a ghost of a plan)
Calling a review for all ongoing MILITARY TRIBUNALS
His goal is, I think, to bring them all onto US soil for criminal and civil trials. This will be a circus bigger than the Chicago Seven trials. All the far-left lawyers will get our tax dollars to mine for secret information and use our press for propaganda.
And, while he has not done so this time, I expect that some of the detainees will be simply let go.
But to be honest about it, he has not released anybody nor canceled their trials- YET.
Your post is an excellant and sobering analysis. I appreciate your posts on this topic as they are reasoned, yet realistic.
thanks for taking the time to educate us.Its all moving so fast and with such stealth its hard to keep up with.
