Don't know, but according to this thread, ABC News:Charges Withdrawn Against Alleged U.S.S. Cole Bombing Mastermind [7:59 pm ET] he was preempted, charges were withdrawn by Department of Defense's Military Commission, but with prejudice so he can be recharged when the wonder decides what to do, and he remains in custody. Either they were worried that BHO would turn al-Nashiri free, hard to believe that, or someone wanted to embarass him before his meeting with the 9/11 and Cole families tomorrow. It that's the case, not particularly nice, the military shouldn't involve itself in political affairs, but I'm not shedding many tears. And at least now it will take an overt act by BHO to set him free, not some excuse about his "values".

Well now it is starting to make some sense. I guess the military has thrown down the gauntlet, after Obama's treatment of Petraeus.

I do hope Patraeus eventually runs for office.

Thanks for the brief.
