ABC News George Stephanopoulos is engaged in daily private phone briefings with Obama Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel.
He then presents himself as a credible journalist and nonpartisan commentator in reporting about the administration. Such a move crosses journalistic lines, is a clear conflict of interest and must be stopped immediately.
The Media Research Center is calling on MRC Action Team members to email Stephanopoulos, David Westin, the President of ABC News and Westins boss, Anne Sweeney, Co-Chairman of Disney, and Sweeney's bosses, ABC/Disney's Board of Directors, demanding an immediate end to this obvious conflict of interest.

“ABC News George Stephanopoulos is engaged in daily private phone briefings with Obama Chief-of-Staff Rahm Emanuel.”
Ok, that’s not right, if true.
How do I know it’s true?
I don’t see why. His Obama Slobber Quotient isn’t any higher than most of the big media. He fits right in.
There is no conflict of interest here.
It’s been reported in several places and I don’t think anyone involved has denied it. Mary Matlain (Carville’s wife and former Asst. to the President) stated it in a TV interview.
Of course, that was then.
I don’t want to know why he’s up at 3AM.
Is there such a thing?
Emails and online petitions do nothing.
George Stephanopoulos Tells Oprah: ‘Impossible’ Not to be Excited by Obama Win
By Scott Whitlock (Bio | Archive)
November 10, 2008 - 12:59 ET
Former top Democratic aide-turned journalist George Stephanopoulos appeared on Friday’s edition of the “Oprah Winfrey Show” and agreed with the host that it was “impossible” not to feel exuberant when Barack Obama was declared the winner on election night. Stephanopoulos also repeatedly admitted that he fervently believed all along the Democratic candidate would defeat Senator John McCain. Stephanopoulos’ wife, actress Ali Wentworth, also appeared as part of the show’s weekly “Oprah Fridays Live” series and asserted that in the spring she asked her reporter husband, “Is Obama going to win? Is Obama going to win? He said, ‘Yes. He’s going to win.’”
Wentworth elaborated, “And I was texting him during the election. Like, ‘Really? Absolutely?’ He would say, ‘Easily. It’s done. Yes.’
Frankly, I don't believe that the Bush WH even HAD any talking points. They certainly never tried to sell their ideas to the American public. Plus, O’Reilly, who seems to be wrong as much as he is right, appears to be his own man.
It is both ironic and typical that the Dems would do exactly what they falsely accuse the Pubs of doing.
Thanks for the link, very appropriate.
“Stephanopoulos role is as the analyst and the skeptic. George is really a big-systems thinker, Begala said. As a journalist, he is half of a political scientist, and because hes not in the partisan battles anymore, he sees things differently.
To use a phrase common in earlier times here, LMAOROTFPIMP!
...partisan battles... I laughed so hard I almost swallowed my toungue!
Mail is much better than email. Emails just get deleted.
ABC demonstrates, without a blush, their full Democrat Party Support. I don't watch that channel.
It used to be difficult, but now it’s impossible to distinguish between the news media and democrats.
You’d have to recuse just about all of them.
The MSM is the Democrat Party.
