‘A White House staffer present at the meeting was quoted by the source as saying: “Petraeus made the mistake of thinking he was still dealing with George Bush instead of with Barack Obama.”’

_________

“The new president doesn’t like the military, you see.”

Either Hussein is just another idiot claiming expertise on a subject he doesn’t have a clue about or he is doing it for his middle east donors. Which is it?

But Obama informed Gates, Petraeus and Joint Chiefs Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen that he wasn't convinced...

In other words, Clueless thinks he knows more than Petraeus, Odierno, Gates and Mullen on this.

What an arrogant, obnoxious empty suit.

Who writes this stuff?

A staffer “chafes” at Obama’s “pullout”.

Maybe I’m just too far in the gutter.

Well, it looks like the Obama “hits just keep on coming,” doesn’t it?

Penny wise and pound foolish, is what I say.

Nice going, Barry.

This is one issue where Obama has nothing to gain by doing the right thing and everything to gain by pleasing his commie friends here in the US.

Let Iraq slide back into the hands of the terrorist. President Zero will be fine with that. It was his campaign pledge, after all. Why shouldn’t he honor it?

Just because it would squander the contribution all those dead American soldiers made to a peaceful and stable Iraq?

Ah, forget about that! It’s much more important what Cindy Sheehan and her buddies think. That’s all that counts!

The whole Iraq thing is on zero’s back now. He owns it.
I hope we don’t have to go back there.

“Petraeus made the mistake of thinking he was still dealing with George Bush instead of with Barack Obama.”

Yes, Bush and Petraeus were on the same team, that of the USA. Then there is Obama...

“Petraeus made the mistake of thinking he was still dealing with George Bush instead of with Barack Obama.”

Hope you registered Republican General. Obama is less interested in victory than he is in fulfiling his promise to bring the troops home at all costs. Although I’m pretty sure he pledged to bring them home on Day 1 at some point.

If Obama continues to insist on this disastrous course of action, then Petraeus should immediately resign and publicly state why.

I hope, that after everything that the US Army has achieved in Iraq, we do not pull defeat out of this endeavour.

Whatever the prior merits or demerits, there is no doubt that the efforts of the US, with the Army and Marines, have drastically changed the course of Iraq for the better.

The change to effective tactics and their implementation has restored the self respect and can do spirit of the Officer Class and it would be more than a tragedy, not only for them but for Iraq and the USA, for their success to be tossed away.

yes phony knows more than the general on the ground who has done wonders, he knows more than most of the pentagon too.

ARF

Then there is thew open homo’s in the military, cutting of the budget by 10% , stopping a lot of money of future protection and equipment for the military .

When survey was done on who the military wanted it went to McCain in all areas except blacks, maybe those blacks will put the country and the military before their color next time

The arrogance of phony is simply breath taking and that is something for even me to say.
