Presuming these are adult stem cells again?
Adult stem cells. If the product were from an embryo it would have another person's DNA. It would then essentially be a drug, and would need go through the FDA approval process. In giving someone their own stem cells, the problems with immmune matching are avoided, and the regulatory burden greatly reduced. That is why real treatments are a person's own stem cells, not that of some blighted person.
