Obama supports some gun control

The Obama administration, cited by many Georgia gun owners as the reason they applied for concealed-carry permits last year, supports restrictions on certain kinds of guns and certain kinds of gun sales.
Brundage said Obama supports reviving the expired ban on assault weapons and making it permanent. And he backs closing the gun show loophole, ...
Obama said: This has been peddled again and again. Heres what I believe
people have the right to bear arms. But I also believe there is nothing wrong with some common-sense gun safety measures.

Well, I hope that you will be alright when finding what you seek.
I love revolvers and shotguns myself, and I hear they are still abundant.
It's the magazine-fed pistols and rifles that are hard to find, no?

Um, no. Pretty much everything in an effective caliber is in high demand. The highest demand *is* for battle rifles and so-called “assault weapons” as well as magazine-fed pistols.
Detachable magazine-fed shotguns were in high demand by 2006. I have one, a Saiga-12. Unfortunately, the only way I was able to get it was via dealer several years ago, so the government knows I have it.
I expect the S-12 to go on the ban list shortly.

Which reminds me, I need to buy more of the US-made mags and parts for that S12 pretty much *yesterday*.

Also unfortunate is the fact that since this idiot is likely to start banning stuff left and right, I won’t be able to buy one of these before they’re banned:

the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" v. "Heres what I believe
people have the right to bear arms. But I also believe there is nothing wrong with some common-sense gun safety measures. It's interesting to have a Constitutional Law professor who can interpret those confusing words "shall not be infringed" for us. Usurper 333 (not the Beast, just half-way there) is not what this country needs.

And Johnny and Saxby voted Yes on anti-gun Eric Holder for Attorney General. How nice of them to vote for Obama's choice and against the interests of their constituents. Ain't bipartisanship wonderful!
That's the last time either of these Rino's will get my vote or my money

Sad to hear they voted for him. I didn’t write either one of them, mistakenly assumed they would use their conscience.

Someone found it and returned it.
However, I do go duck hunting on a regular basis, so it might fall into the lake again.

"Common sense measures" is a term invented by Pete Shields (HCI/Brady Campaign) to mean any sort of ban, restriction or registration on types of guns, features of guns, ammuntion, as well as "waiting periods", "background checks", monthly purchase limits ... and anything else that can be counted on to:
1) Annoy the honest gun owner
2) Be ignored by actual criminals.

I think guns should be controlled, by their owners. I control my guns, you control your guns, Ted Nugent controls Ted Nugent's guns, etc. What the people claiming to want "gun control" really want is to deny people authority over their own property--they think the government should "control" everything.

There is no such thing as a gun show loophole. The law as agreed on by the gun control crowd allows this.
