With pressure growing on him to act, U.S. Sen Christopher Dodd Monday morning allowed reporters to view all of the loan documents and communication he and his wife had when negotiating mortgages with Countrywide Financial Corp.
...
"I regret I did not do this sooner and I apologize to the people of Connecticut for the delay,'' said Dodd, who was joined by his wife Jackie Clegg Dodd in a sometimes tense meeting with reporters at his Hartford offices.

Yes, and he regrets that people had a memory on this matter.
To: BillyBonebrake
So who saw them that will report accurately on what was really there? Isn’t that the real question we need to ask?

Without Talk Radio this story would have disappeared down the memory hole.

Exactly. Anybody with regret would have apologized immediately and would have taken action many months ago.
Dodd is a scumbag who is costing the country loads of money.

It’s too late Senator Dudd. This Connecticut citizen has known for a long time you’re a phony.

Yes, it’s nice to have talk radio...at least for now. Not that this story will result in real accountability on the part of Dodd.
To: BillyBonebrake
He sees all of his “colleagues” getting a pass so he figured he’d get in while the gettin’s good.
To: BillyBonebrake
What rate did he pay? What rate would one of the "little people" pay for the same loan? What is the total dollar figure of that "gift" from Countrywide? Will Dodd repay that to either Contrywide or to the United States treasury to cover party of the bailout?

We don’t want the loan documents. The Deed of Trust is public Record.
We want to see proof of payment.

....What rate did he pay?...
More important, far more important, is did he actually pay anything? Does he think showing the mortgage is enough?
We want proof the sweetheart loan is actually being paid off by him.we want proof the past due status is not canned by the Country Wide President.
