I was at an anti-abortion demonstration a couple of weeks ago, and there were a number of brave women just standing silently on one side of the street holding signs that said “I regret my abortion.” It took a lot of courage for them to go out there publicly with it and it must have been quite painful.

I think Project Rachel also works with men who have come to the realization of what they have done. When you’re young and “everbody’s doing it,” it’s hard not to just shrug and go along.

The abortion issue is

1% about “keeping it legal”
and
99% about [insistent screech]”I had a right to do what I did! I did! I did! You HAVE to accept that!”[/screech]

Imagine the burden on these women.
God forgives - even if you can’t forgive yourself.
