Nothing wrong with reaching out and trying to find common ground on other issues.

As long as it’s done with the understanding that they don’t drive the party direction I’m fine with it. The GOP should stand for what it stands for and if pro choice and pro gay want to vote for conservative principles, so be it.

agreed....

he more they push wouldbe voters away the more votes will end up in the hands of the rats....reaching out to these voters versus adopting their agenda; whether it be for political or genuine purposes, are night and day....

there are plenty of log cabin Republicans who, in many ways, are more conservative and more ardent to conservative policies than the dopes who’ve had an “-R” next to their name the past six years....

So, point out some specific common ground you think will be found between Republicans and pro-choice voters, and pro-gay rights voters.

Tell us how they can be won over to vote Republican.

Here’s an idea:

The only way to maintain a conservative site is to start banning Michael Steele supporters.

Always works, except we never win with that strategery. We now know why there was an undercurrent of dissatisfaction with Steele.

"Nothing wrong with reaching out and trying to find common ground on other issues."

This sounds like a strategy that a political party (i.e. not a purified ideological "club" or think tank) might employ to actually win an election. I'm shocked that somebody suggested it! /sarc

"Nothing wrong with reaching out and trying to find common ground on other issues." ========================================================

The problem is that they are trolling for a bunch of folks who are liberal on the 2nd amendment, national defense and other issues. Frankly, if someone works against my interests I damn sure don't intend to protect theirs.

there is no common ground with homosexuals.

you are either for the sick perverted agenda or you are against it.

Me I ma against it because it is wrong naturally and if you are religious then religiously.

It is nothing to do with knowing a couple of them and they are nice.
Go to their websites and you can read where they state make friends with normal /straights .

Got o their sick parades and see what they get up to and don’t buy the well they are nice and just want to be left alone, they just love each other

Actually there is! You cannot find common ground on either issue, because their activists want things their way or the highway. No such thing as common ground.

We need to be done with group think all together, we need to be about individualism, NOT VICTIM and group mentality!

I completely agree. It's not like the GOP would be reaching out to gay voters to we can all agree to be gay.

So you find "common ground" on "other issues" with those who are liberal on abortion...

And they then move the Republican Party to the left on abortion.

And still more babies die.

Worth it to you?
